I want some nice looking chalice corals, some duncans.
I'd love an elegance but it worries me that people say its hit or miss with them.

Thad and I want an anemone for my clowns but that worries me also cause they move and can kill other corals.

I want I want I want...LOL..
Duncan's are nice. I think mine has 7 heads now...it's awesome to feed it..

I always think about an anemone, but I never do it. Same reasons..don't need it taking a walk and whacking a load of other corals in its path..also read that they occasionally jump into power heads and take the whole tank down..last thing I need..

Yea.. You notice I didn't say I "Need".. I really don't NEED anymore corals.. but I do WANT more.

I probably will end up getting a chalice and a Duncan at one point and time. Would love one of Cornbred's Rainbow chalices, those things look amazing.

Just picked up some cheato and installed my led light. Set up a light refuge in the back!
Got it hooked up to my marine orbit, so it stays on and I don't have to hook it up to another plug
Also got my hector goby today from my LFS and they hooked me up with some live rock for my Gonipora (red)
OsiViper I think you should make something that covers the fuge area (so I buy one)

Reduck,

You think you can talk Mark into free shipping up to a poor teacher? Saw some nice metallic green hammer on fb.

You spend enough money there right? :)

Fuge area? Are you using the InTank media baskets?

Here's a pic of the little guy, he seems to be settling in quite well. He's starting to "graze" on the algae

If it's a plastic or acrylic I can cut it. If it's glass then...I'm SOL lol. But now since I have the Refugium light it's pretty bright in the fifth chamber lol, so I'll have to get a cover for that.

Lol I gave my crab part of a Hikari Algae wafer and he is hiding in the corner munching on it trying to keep it away from the clowns.

Are you going to keep it lit 24 hours or on a reverse cycle?

I'll ask him. LOL..He'll get a kick outta that question..

You could always buy it and ask him to bring it to Reefapalooza...He's one of the vendors there..

Reduck wanted that, but the problem with a back cover like that is it's not universal.. Some people have HOB skimmer's, Light mounts, Probes & Lines, Reactors, etc.

That was exactly why I wanted it. Fuge lighting at night lit up the room... But you are right. There would be no universal cover.
All our tanks are the same, yet totally different..

I figured it never hurts to ask. I went over to the website and didn't see that hammer listed.

hmm good point. I still haven't bought my ticket yet

Yep..That is what I am going to do. Spend some time researching more lps and which ones like a lot of light. That should keep me busy for 5 weeks.

Well Heard rave reviews about the HW Marinemix Reefer salt.. First try with it I'm guessing i got a REALLY bad batch.

Started to have HORRIBLE ammonia issues in the quarantine tank, and no matter how many water changes I did it still skyrocketed. Reached 0.8ppm.

So I decided just by chance to check my RO/DI water and the fresh mixed saltwater.. RO/DI was at 0ppm, fresh mixed saltwater was at 0.8 ppm.

I am just lucky I didnt put this in my DT with all the corals.. that is a HUGE amount of ammonia!
