Nice, I had to do half of a 15 lb bag of sand to do a SSB. Much less than I expected. What are your stocking plans for Fish-Coral?

Coral stock will be mostly lps and sps. I've been in the hobby for over 20 years and I've done a little bit of everything, except a smaller tank like this with only choice pieces. So, that is the goal this time.

For fish, I have a clown I must keep because my woman loves him. Beyond that a swalesi basslet and a blue spot jawfish are my two major wants. That's one reason for the deeper sand. I mainly love inverts. Fish always become some kind of problem in the long run, so, I'm going to be very particular this time.

I just broke down my JBJ Nanocube. I was lucky to sell everything, tank included to my buddy. I'll be able to now do a brand new tank build with my Nuvo40. Just ordered 20 pounds of dry Pukani from BRS.

I had to google those fish. Those are pretty cool, I may have to consider those as well. I'm debating whether to keep my dwarf angels as they are definitely Coral nippers. They nip ocassionally, but they only outright eat fleshy LPS. I love the fish but I do want to add Acans at some point.

I like the aquascape and all the sand area up front. Gives lots of swimming room for the fish.

How much net water does everyone find their tank holds. I'm estimating right around 28 gallons and I did a 3/4" sand bed.

I have everything for my build sitting on my living room floor. Due to work I don't have the time to build a stand. I ordered one from Marine Depot. UPS destroyed it in transportation. Marine Depot sent a replacement, and that one showed up in even worse condition!!! I am now waiting for a stand from my LFS. I HOPE it doesn't come all banged up and destroyed. I'm so angry that I have to deal with this from UPS. I have them on my security camera dropping the box with the tank, both stand boxes and the box of Pukani rock.

Looking Great airwaybill. As for me tank is in, starting custom stand build (local store is doing this). Then will have everything home and in my living room as well. Can't wait to share photos and build progress.

Is the InTank caddy any better than the LATEST Custom Caddy from IM.... for the 40 gallon Fusion tank?

If so, why? Never seen the InTank, but did see the IM model and looked very good.... four sides enclosed, tall back to keep water in, fits under lip at inlet side, etc.

I haven't gotten either yet so not sure. I plant on ordering the caddy soon. I'll have better info then.

Opinions? What is the better light for this tank? Radion XR15 Gen 4 Pro or Kessil A360 WE Tuna Blue. Which one will give a better spread of light for the tank? This is going to be a mixed reef.

You can also add the AI hydra 26 to your list too, thats the one I went with. It will be interesting to hear the different view points. I struggled with this item as well, just liked to way one can move power from one color to the next, plus no other items need to control light like Kassil.

i just purchased the IM 40 and will be running a Hydra 26 above, i run the AI Prime on my nano now, i love the AI line up

I'm partial to Radion over Kessil. I have the Radion XR30 Pro running Coral Labs AB+ on 100% and everything looks great. I think there is less shadowing-hotspots with the new radion over previous models and the spread looks good to me.

I have the AI Hydra 26 and it provides awesome coverage, and it's great to be able to control it with my phone and PC... with no additional cost.
