It's pretty amazing how far collection practices have come especially with the deepwater species. Other than the legally restricted species (even these become available from time to time), all reef fish seem to be obtainable these days, which is a good thing.
Awesome effort by Rufus and his team to bring these amazing little fish to the hobbyist. It's an insanely dangerous endeavor so aagin kudos Rufus and the rest of the team!!!

Thanks guys. The effort to mount an expedition for these fish is monumental. To say nothing of actually finding/collecting/maintaining the fish once you're there. But overall, exploring the depth and discovering new things is something that we love to do. On this past trip I think we collected 1 new species of bodianus, plectranthias, holanthias, chomis and dragonet/goby...

Bright eyed and bushy tailed... and eating pellets. Unbelievably awesome.

On this past trip I think we collected 1 new species of bodianus, plectranthias, holanthias, chomis and dragonet/goby...

yeah!..red,white and golden yellow;colour combination of this fish is such incredible in simplicity that it looks stunning......
