P. boylei at Blue Harbor

It's pretty amazing how far collection practices have come especially with the deepwater species. Other than the legally restricted species (even these become available from time to time), all reef fish seem to be obtainable these days, which is a good thing.
Awesome effort by Rufus and his team to bring these amazing little fish to the hobbyist. It's an insanely dangerous endeavor so aagin kudos Rufus and the rest of the team!!!

i am hoping Chingchai will get his hand on one of those,so we will be able to get some eye candy at regular interval....

Thanks guys. The effort to mount an expedition for these fish is monumental. To say nothing of actually finding/collecting/maintaining the fish once you're there. But overall, exploring the depth and discovering new things is something that we love to do. On this past trip I think we collected 1 new species of bodianus, plectranthias, holanthias, chomis and dragonet/goby...

I've been visiting the P. boylei at the Waikiki Aquarium every time I pick up water. It's just lovely and I feel so lucky to see it in person.

Congrats to Rufus on these additional five!!
