Thanks!! I have a few fish that are definitely on my wish-list.
Borbonius Anthias, Sunburst Anthias, Hybrid Gold Rim Tang, Gem Tang, Lennardi Wrasse to name a few.

It'll be an SPS dominant mixed reef. Just a mixing pot of my favorites that I don't get tired of looking at. Doesn't necessarily need to be ultra high end, just needs to stand out and look cool! =D

Damm I just sold my gem Tang for 500$ perfect 2.5" size if I know u are looking for it I save it for u

Congrats on your new Crystal Dynamic tank, I like your dimensions like you I could not go 36" wide it would stick to far out from the wall, my CR 72" X 30" X24" will be delivered tomorrow.

That's the exact dimensions I originally planned!
Congrats on the new tank!

Wow Stephen! You went all out on this tank. I ordered myself a new tank at rap with CD too. I can't wait to see your tank come together.

So I ended up upgrading the side panels to 3/4" glass to give the silicone more surface area to bond to.

Still stainless steel braced. Just extra beefy-ness to put my mind at ease.

I think the 3/4" sides plus stainless steel bracing should be stronger than 3/4" glass all around no bracing. The cost of 3/4" glass all around would've run me an extra $2000 on an already really expensive tank

With the bracing it's pretty solid save the extra money for other stuffs.

The only drawback of going with 3/4" glass is it limits you on the flow pumps that you can use. I can't wait to see this!

I did take this into consideration! MP60QD are rated up to 1" glass so I'll be good there.
Also maybe, possibly, probably, who knows, thinking about considering a Panta Rhei ECM 63

Congrats Stephen. Looking forward to the updates. Keep growing out your great existing corals let others share in them and deflect costs on what looks to be a top of the line system.

Oh boy! :fun4:

MP40 will also work.

Might utilize some MP40s on the back wall if I don't get a Panta Rhei.
Even now in my 3 ft 60 gallon I use two MP40s at 80%. I don't think they'd be powerful enough for a 8 ft tank.

Thanks Rik! That's the plan! Need to do some trimming to help fund the new tank!

I probably won't be using Gyres in this tank because they need to be cleaned too often. I've noticed that in my frag tanks my flow slows down significantly about a month after cleaning. I just keep bumping the percentage up until I have time to take them out and give them a thorough scrub.

The new one is much better xf350. It's hard to beat the cross flow of the gyre go across the top its 100% eliminate oil and floating stuff on the surface and make your tank breath co2 out.
