Hi guys,

If I change the daily dosing amount, update the doser without changing the first dose time what shall be the doser behavior?
1. Stop the pre-scheduled doses waiting for the first dose time and then only when time comes it starts with the new dosing amount.
2. Recalculate the new dosing amount and starts immediately with the new amount.

TIA
AR

Guys,

Can you please focus on the doser and go discuss customs, packages and fees privately.

I think everyone understood what's happen and take lessons. To be honest I've lived similar issues with different companies while buying electronic gadgets and I understand that some day those weird things we read happen to us. Lucky all issues have ended well for me (the costumer).

As per my 5th doser, the machine is working well, the software ok and I've decided not to do upgrades because I don't need more functionalities, already learned how to deal with it (I think...) and avoiding the risk of spoiling.

Rgds,

Agree. Checkout new version 1.6b. I was also like you that I didn't want to upgrade. If it is working why change. I was on 1.4g but this new version seems to me that it is faster.

There are some minor things that have been raised for fixes or preference but it will depend if you use it or not. The good thing about this is that if you don't like it you can downgrade to the version you had and that's a plus.

Hey guys. I just got a Kore5th pro on trade recently and I have a few questions.

Set up on the doser seemed easy. I'm on a mac. Had it set up in about 5 minutes.

However, when I use the manual dose mode, the doser seems pretty unresponsive and won't dose when I hit start. Is this normal? I was playing around with the doser while connected through bluetooth and tried to manually dose 20ml of calc. It didn't start when commanded to and then suddenly started running about 5 minutes later. Then it proceeded to run for quite a bit of time. The time frame was about 5 minutes or so and I became so concerned about the amount being dosed that I decided to unplug the doser as this was the only way I could stop it. When plugged back in, it didn't continue dosing.

Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me?

*after re-reading your post the long runtime sounds like a result of not calibrating a channel. (Or your calibration inexplicably being erased/replaced with gibberish)

Welcome to the wonderful world of the kore 5th, where the unexplainable is the norm! First suggestion, make sure you're sitting as close as possible to the unit. A distance greater than 3 feet for me resulted in random numbers on every page of the UI.

Make sure you're on the latest fw and software, their newest software is a little better.

If you notice laggy manual controls, reconnect and move closer to the unit if possible.

If something like an unstoppable dose occurs, you can soft reboot to stop it instead of unplugging.

Basically, once you get it running how you want it... DONT TOUCH IT! Any modification can scrap your calibrations/settings in a seemingly unpredictable fashion.

And push the button slowly... ;-)

I always push a button and wait to make sure the command it's send to the unit or all the information collect over the unit has arrived until I push a another button.

I've done the calibration and played with the manual dose without trouble. It worked pretty well but I was seating on the floor very near the device.
Also I don't make updates, either software or firmware unless I know what changes they have implemented.
For dose changes I seat on the coach about 2 meters from the unit.
Other important thing it's to use the disconnect button to disconnect.

So far, almost 1 month I'm very pleased with the Kore 5th. Enjoy!

P.S. I also use a mac...

Thank you for the responses. The doser itself does seem to be working as set up. It was more an issue with manual doses. I know I need to calibrate the pumps that I'm using.

Based on my dosing set up my parameters are doing what I'm asking of the doser. I'm trying to drop alk slowly while raising calc and maintaining magnesium for now.

My alk dropped .1dkh. My calc raised 50ppm(this is including the mishap and dosing schedule over 24 hours). And I didn't test mag but I only have it scheduled to dose 10ml/day and I'll check it in a week's time.

Today will be the real tell since I didn't try any manual dosing.

So, aside from sitting closer to the doser and pressing the button slowly, this is really the only behavior that needs to be corrected and it's user influenced. Correct?

I also learned that when the device screen starts looking funny it's because the disconnect wasn't done properly.
With the help of a forum member I learned that you should turn off and then on the device. It works pretty well and since there I've always been cautious when disconnecting.

I only use manual dosing to fill the lines and remove the air bubbles. I place the end of the tubes inside the dosing reservoirs and start the manual pump until the bubbles are out...

The disconnect when you're done is important also double check all your settings before you walk away, inexplicable changes do happen to your other settings from time to time and I've been lucky to avoid several disastrous mishaps with the unit. If they get the software cleaned up this would be an AMAZING unit, however as it is its at best unpredictable until you're used to all the quirks. Just because it seems to be working great now doesn't mean a week from now after adjusting the dosage on calcium it won't also adjust the dosage on alk to 8000ml per day. Just check every setting before disconnecting to be safe. Maybe it's just my unit, but based on others experiences I doubt it.

Well, I already saw it set 50ml per day to "INF ml" once. Lol

Hi
Based on own experience most "typical" issues reported by Customers are sourced by:
a) weak signal(due not attached/not properly connected antenna, small output power Bluetooth module in computer etc)
b) in Mac - common "issue" is getting "strange" numbers due refreshing is caused by too fast clicking buttons without waiting for finishing data stream.
That why we added in newest app on Mac (Kore 1.6) to all buttons special prompt window which inform Customer about finished data reading/sending.
For example - when on schedule tab Customer will click Read button for pump #1 - after 2-3 seconds prompt window will appear. It's like confirmation that transmission is finished and Customer can set/read another data.

PS. For manual dose maximum single amount is set to 40ml(that limit is due safety reason).

I just walked in on my doser dosing calc and alk at the same time.

I manually told the doser to dose about 30 minutes prior with no response.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Kore 5th doser. Don't worry, you'll be told it's your BT. Or you programmed it wrong and that the doser can never be faulty.

I got tired of futzing with it so I pulled it and bought a CA reactor. No more sudden large doses of Alk or Ca. Watch your dosing containers and note how much it drops. Take notice if it looks lower than it should be. There is no logging so you don't know if it dosed more often than it is supposed to.
