Painted Angler pair + eggs!!!

I checked the eggs this morning and 99% are completely gone. The sack looks as though it is stuck to the screen mesh... so i'm betting a hermit crab ate the eggs through the holes in the screen. Really disappointing. Lesson learned I guess. I have doubts the remaining eggs will survive since much of the gelatinous coating has been removed.
The male Angler is continuing to nudge the female so perhaps I will get another chance in the future. If so, I will better separate the egg-raft from potential threats.
