Par Meter

Does anybody in the club have a PAR meter. I have ordered new lamps and would like to take some measurements to get the new lamps at the correct hight for acclimation.

IF nobody has one, maybe we could all chip in and buy PMAS a meter to be signed out or passed around? IF they are $300 and everyody throws in a few bucks, we could all benefit from it. Bah what am I thinking, that would never happen!

Bill,
We spoke about getting one for the club a few months ago.......Maybe bring it up again during the next meeting.

What bulbs did you change to? Were your 20k's losing their gusto?

The 20ks never had any gusto!

I ordered a set of Phoenix 14Ks and will give them a try. I know I am going ot need to add some T5 actinic, but will do that in a month or so when I can sneak a new ballast and refelctor in.

I did not realize we talked about the club buying one. I think it is a great idea, and would throw in some money to be able to use it.

Our club is looking at getting one, haven't decieded which one yet. Maybe we could order together and and get a multiple discount. Keep us posted.

The meter is the QMSW-SS it can be calibrated (not sure if this featuer is needed) It is $319. The fixed (non cal) unit is the QMSS and it is about $50 less I think

also has the same meters rebadged and a little cheaper... but not sure what the shipping comes out to.

Not really that much ~$300 for a meter. I would think club members would pay ~$10 to take it home for a week.
