Paracentropyge multifasciata

Just sharing my new fish. Picked him up from a LFS yesterday after seeing him devour mysis shrimp like a champ. I also couldn't pass up the price ($40) :eek1:
He's in my 180, sps dominated reef. I will update as he adapts into my system. So far, he is cruzing around picking at sponges.

Quick Update: It's the 3rd week and he is still a feeding machine. He likes HBH Flake Frenzy, New life Spectrum Thera+A and mini mysis. He's a little piggy.

Some recent photos.

He hunts for pods and tube worms all day. He looks like he's about to take a bite at this hoeki.

Beauty. It would be really cool if you paired it up sometime in the future. Also, what camera and lens are you using?

GREAT! Im glad to hear he is doing well for you!

I am going to add my trio this Saturday and after ~ 2 months in QT im very excited!!!

Great pictures by the way!

Absolutely gorgeous,

the Poor man's Peppermint Angel. My wish list fish is Centropyge Boylei, that's the one in my avatar. It's 4-5k, and one of the rarest angels. I have to get one of those some day, lol. In the meantime, I'll look for one like yours. Good luck with it.

Here's a better view of Centropyge Boylei

From what I remember, only one pair is in captivity, and the price is about 20k a fish, if not more. Any millionaire out there want to buy a poo person like me a pair, lol.

^There's only one in captivity, and who knows the price since they haven't been available for years.

Nice looking multifasciata. I'm hoping the last of the three I bought will make it. My hopes aren't high though as it hasn't eaten anything prepared.... it's in my fuge right now so we'll see.

In the fuge? Why?

I think that the odds are best if you can get them to eat, consistently. I've heard of them eating, pigging out. Then one day, they just stop, and nothing seems to coast them back to eating. I'll still take one though, you never know how things will turn out.

okay

how long has he been there? And do you ever check him as it must be eating some if it's been in there for awhile. And what in the tank might pick on it, they can be feisty too. if you don't want it, I'll take it. love centropyges.
