Is Paraguard tough on clowns, tangs and the like? It seems to be a broad spectrum of capabilities but curious if it is not a good choice. I know copper and prazi has been what many have used. Then there is NLS Ich Bath which has from what I have read CP in it...

What would you do?

1. Formalin bath - especially with clownfish, damsels and chromis to rid them of possibly hidden infections with Brooklynella and Uronema before they go into the QT.

2. Observation in QT for 2 months and treatment as needed.

3. TTM before moving fish into systems you want to keep ich free

Its not harsh on fish at all but has limited uses when it comes to disease.

1. formalin bath

2.straight into CP for 21 days

3. observe for another 2 weeks.

I have used CP with great success and I also have seen it cure ich in as short as 10 days without reinfection

This. I always do TTM after formalin but before the observation phase.

I use paraguard for fin rot, prazipro for flukes and black ick, and copper for ick.

Copper is a rather poor choice to treat ich - If properly diagnosed.
