Part of my Anemone Missing

ok well I have put in a RBTA in my tank. It was looking great till this morning. It seemed like it was trying to move up to the night lights then it must have got sucked in the powerhead. The problem is that powerhead is pretty small and I can't imagine RBTA was totally blended by it. The Nem was about 5"-6" round. The power head is a Koralia 750. The design seems like it would be kind of hard for it to get sucked in. Could this happen? He is missing and only a very small piece of meat was hanging off the pump. Don't know what else could be hanging off the pump. The water is a little cloudy. How much of a water change should I do? The corals seem ok. Now if it was blended what do people do from this happening again?

yes they can get sucked up in those powerheads, I have read several threads about them getting sucked up into them some recover and some don't.. I would say to start doing some water changes to get rid of any possible toxins that might be in there and also run some carbon.. IMO...

I had an RBTA get into a fight with one of my Tunzes... Guess who won??? In the end, I had 5 small RBTA's as opposed to the one large one I started with...

Man, last night was a bad one for the nems. This is the third post i've read today on a nem getting shredded. Recommend big water changes, carbon, and as much skimming as possible. This can be really bad for a tank.

Not only the Nems but fish too.. i lost four fish in totall in one of my ither tank and a friend lost about 10 from last night and part of today..

Well I am guess I am lucky I had no losses due to the shredding of my Nem. I just did a 10% water change and put a bag of carbon.
