Pastey's 200DD

Sorry, Pastey, it looks like you've run out of bandwidth on Photobucket and will have to upgrade your level of service in order for your images to be viewable.

Yea, I'm working on downloading/re-uploading pictures to Flickr (no monthly bandwidth limit). Lots of pictures means it'll take me a while so hang tight while I work on getting things changed over.

Here are some of the more recent shots....I'll be going back and re-uploading older shots but, since I'm unable to edit posts on this forum, I won't be going back to replace the pictures...instead, I'll post a link to the Flickr account and you'll be able to browse them at your leisure as well as check out the latest ones that will be posted from here on out.

4 clowns total in the tank right now....2 will likely be removed if/when aggression is shown. I'm just trying to let them pair off how they so choose.

(2)Black ice clowns
(1)Picasso clown
(1)Onyx occy.

So I started off with 1 RBTA. I now have 6...wth.
Hard to see the new one on the backside of this rock but you can see a few tentacles if you look closely. 3 pictured here:

Spent a few hours getting the wires picked up off the floor of the stand. It still looks messy but my goal for the day was to have the wiring out of the way and off the bottom of the stand. The only 2 wires on the bottom now belong to the two Apex leak detector modules. It's still a train wreck in the back but that's for another day and a 12 pack of beer.

That water change station is so slick i think i will be copying that design!, lol would be nice if one could find a way to install a bulkhead in the lid so you can add salt.

I mix my salt in my water storage setup and just pump the water into that water change setup. It's purely a means of getting the water to the tank with no bucket carrying. I hate carrying buckets.

If i didnt have fire-breaks in my house frame, i would have an auto-water changer. Too much trouble and with this, it's really not a whole lot of work. I'll be testing it out tonight since I mixed a new batch of salt water yesterday so if there is a design flaw, I'll be sure to post it so you don't make the same mistake I did! xD

Haha! thanks, I just did a partial water change last night and it was a pain since i had to carry 4 buckets in to mix the water and 4 buckets out during the change...What i need is a 40 gallon can that i can divide in half, then i can use it like a dialysis machine, pump fresh in to sump from one side of can while siphoning old from tank into the other. ;)

My Brute is a 32g. of which I plan to use all of. That's ~15% of total volume. My plan is for bi-weekly changes and see how the system reacts. That means I will get 5 changes per bucket of Red Sea Pro which makes the change cost about $13/change, $26/month and $312/year. That should be plenty with my relatively light coral demand but as things are added that use up calcium and other elements, I may have to increase.
