Peppermint Angel Fish

Well what fish are found that deep that are collected more frequently?

Theres a few anthias and lions, and some other angels that are commonly caught around those depths. None specifically come to mind but I know a few are down there.

I really need to remember all the sites of my sources whenever I read them :sad1:

Of course there is a few living fine in captivity. But I'm saying IF more of these were on the market (like lets say somehow 50 peppermints were sold and shipped.) How many do you think would survive? (out of the 50 for example, My bet would be around 20 survivors and the others would last a few days or DOA..)

Just my 2 cents and your 20k :D

As far as wild SW fish go. If you look at from collector to living in someones aquarium, unfortunetly 20 out of 50 is a good number for any kind of fish.

Fish that only live in certain areas (deep water) usually do so for a reason. That reason most likely is diet. Hearty and eats anything usually go together. Meaning most fish that have specific diets are less likely to make it in captivity. However once that specific diet is discovered survival goes way up. Stress is the other killer. Depending on how they are collected could make all the difference.

For $20,000 I'm thinking you could travel and do the dive your self and bring home more than 1 fish!!! Call me crazy....
