Perry's 120 Gallon Reef

Can't believe this tank was empty a few weeks ago.
Looks fantastic.

Thank you sir! She filled up quick didn't she :)

Really nice Perry. I am going from 40 or less SPS in my tank also. Want to give them room to grow.

Thanks Mark, I still have more room, I can use the bb floor with larger flat frag plugs, even duplicates will show neat coloration, perhaps taking on different tones and hues...? Should be fun :)

So beautiful perry:beer:
Welldone buddy!
Love the aquascape!

Thanks Mike, still a work in progress, working on a mini bommie down on the bottom in center part of the tank, colors are really coming along, could not be happier with the AF lineup so far!

And just like that a new spectacular reef! Looks really good.
Which AF products are you using at the moment and dosing amounts (if you could also refresh me on your water volume that would be great)

Michael,
I am using the following products, my system total is 180gallons. I am dosing the following:

System Filtration for ULNS:
1. Zeolites-3 cups
2. Phos Minus- 1 cup passive
3. Carbon- 2 cups
4. Pro Bio S- 6 drops each morning
5. NP Pro- 6 drops each morning
6. Pro Bio F- 3 spoons each morning

Supplements/ Foods:
1. Coral V- 6 drops at night
2. Coral E- 6 drops at night
3. Coral B- 6 drops at night
4. Coral Food/ Fish V (mixed together with fish food daily)
5. Salifert Aminos- Will replace with Coral A when depleted

Elements/ Trace Minerals:

None in use at this time, I have to deplete my 2 part system, then going to balling method, and using Salifert Hard Trace for trace minerals, Brightwell's B, K, and I until supplies depleted. Once this occurs, I will slowly move towards the AF mineral and element system.

Just beautiful Perry, your scaping and coral placement is awesome buddy.

Couldn't help having a quick play to see what sneaky stuff was hidden in the blue shadows......... colors are wonderful especially considering the recent events. We're all going to enjoy watching your reef grow Perry :)

Perry, please make sure to take plenty of 'before' shots.. Tops downs, side views... Upside down!
It will be very interesting to see how the corals change when the AF products really kick in.

It seems like many people are dosing the coral a and v daily even though AF says to dose these every other day. Is there a reason you are doing daily.

No worries mate :) Thanks for the feedback and input Andrew, that is an amazing compliment, especially from an acro specialist such as yourself!!!

Thanks Matt, I having been taking plenty of pics, while some corals are really glowing, some of the frags are coloring up, they were washed out pretty badly, so hopefully I can turn them around... I am noticing that the tips of the corals are looking like they were dipped in a brighter more electric color than the base of the coral. This is mainly on the colonies as their colors were already pretty nice, but now they seem to be glowing:)

Michael,
I think the system I am running really needs the daily dosing, my fish population is relatively small, so the supplement feeding to corals I feel is necessary, for me at this point. I am not using coral a, I use salifert aminos, but only every 3 days or so. I do use the coral b daily, I have seen very positive effects from it's dosing, it pushed all remaining cyano out of the system, very similar to coral snow by zeovit. I am also dosing coral v daily, only because some of the frags I recently acquired have been dipped several times, and are coming in sort of washed, hopefully this will aid in their strength. Coral e, I find no ill effects from it's use, the copper sulfate must be low concentrated, and along side a nutrient poor tank, I can see it slowly doing it's thing, not like zeospur2, where the effects are easily shown 2-3 days later. The nice thing about AF products so far is that they seem straight forward, pretty much what they say the are supposed to do is actually the result you get, I am sure you will be pleased!

Love it Perry!! The tank as gone from strength to strength so I'm really happy to see it doing so well!

Thanks Dom!!!

Here is a top down photo of my RP from Jan 9, the next photo is from today, I think the AF stuff is kicking in maybe? You guys be the judge, but this pink color is a true match to my top down viewer vs. the pic color...

Hmm, my Red planet is doing something similar.

Matt,
Explain more, just curious....
Are you concerned, or intrigued? I am finding more of my colony corals, the ones settled, are experiencing color at the tips that seem profound. Meanwhile the base is sort of morphing? I don't know, just thinking out loud...

Nope, not concerned. The red planet had a more saturated "Red" to it, but its more of a pinkish purple now. I've changed lighting in the last few weeks also though.

Thanks for the reply Matt!!! Next time you do a few top downs, shoot a pic of your RP for comparison, if you don't mind :)

Thanks Daniel, I appreciate all your kind words!!! Seems that right around the 3-4 week mark is where Matt indicated seeing some positive changes with AF, I am just about at that same place, so hopefully the results will continue with other corals, lol...

Looks way better in the second picture.

Thanks reefwiser!!! I appreciate the vote of confidence :) I appreciate you checking in!!!

Don't know if the AF is kicking in but i will kick you perry for sure:p:p
Why do you have to be so mean and post amazingly colored acros??:o:o??

That RP looks awesome bud:beer:
Tbh i like it in both pics.
What changes have you noticed up util now,to your water parameters since you started AF?

Andrew did a great job with that pic,now i like it even more:)
You job/art with coral placement is more visible there.

Now let's not get all violent, lol :) I really appreciate your looking things over, and most importantly your kind words, you have a great way of being super positive, I like that about you my friend... Positive Vibrations.....

Some people are too competitive for their own good - if their tank isn't the best then they aren't happy. If you have the right mindset you should want everyone to have awesome tanks, and should be helping other people achieve that:celeb1:
