Cheers

Thanks Flo, I too love pictures and photography, not too great at either though, lol....

Nice video. Your colonies are looking great.

Hello and thank you very much!

Wow! Speechless!

Thank you very much, what a great compliment :)

Nice clean up job in the tank, Perry. Looks great!
Nice balance and flow.
It's just before Christmas. Exactly one year from now.. whoa!! It'll be just awesome.
What's the acro growing right at the end of the outcrop from the left hand side, at the back?
Love the pe as well.

Thanks Matt, I get this one confused, fairly certain that is the JF Sour Twist, but that coral and Spainbow are so close. Either way, it is becoming a favorite. So, this time last year I was deciding to go AF, I am getting close to the one year mark. It is officially a year since I re-scaped and made big changes, so hopefully next year the colonies will be massive. That is the goal anyway. Thanks again for the kind words man!

Loved the video Perry, your tank is looking awesome!

Conor, I really appreciate the love man, this hobby can make you smile one minute and your heart drop the next. Glad to have found success, still a long way to go to get those large colonies like you have :) Thanks again man!

Lovely mate. Pe is beautiful, had you just fed some powder food?

Michael, how are you? Getting good PE regardless, I have not fed Coral Power in awhile to the tank, this is 24/7, tons of flow though. Thanks for the nice words mate!

Wow Perry tank is looking pretty good considering your flu. I wish mine looked that good, just seema getting worse. :(

Thanks Jorge, we all get ups and downs, that is the hobby, just happy that only 6 acros affected. I may lose one or two, but trying to stay positive. Thanks for the kind words bro!

Nice video Perry. Love to see the 2 hills with colorful trees.

Thanks Bernie! Glad to see the new tank going well :)

Hi Perry,

loved the video, so glad to see the tank is getting the groove back!

Hey Mark, yep a dumb mistake that led to what could have been a disaster. The tip necrosis spread to an additional few corals, but I went offline with doser and am only running 3 hours a day at peak light, mostly blue right now. My efforts are to eliminate stress and force the corals to heal. I ended up pulling the Red Robin and Chips Acro to trim all the dead tips. Honestly I feel like this would be my only option to slow down the issue. So, yes the tank is on the mend and hopefully I will have some photos in the new year! Merry Christmas Buddy!!!

Can't believe it's been a year!
Can't wait till next year.
Gonna be stupendous!

Thank you Matt! Yeah, another year and hopefully 2017 will bring even more success :) Thanks for the encouragement as always! Hope you have a great holiday season Matt! Hope you and your family the best!

I loved the video and its soundtrack. Thanks for sharing Perry.

Thanks Bulent, still trying to get the hang of editing and how to have a better flow with the videos :) Thanks for checking in and your kind words! Hope you have a great holiday season!!!

Hey Andrew, Merry Christmas Eve Mate! Thanks for the add into the thread, I still cannot figure out how to embed a video from YouTube, so thanks for the help! I think your growth rate is selling your tank short, lol... More like 4" per year. Having such kind words coming from you is indeed a present, so thank you :) Hope you and your loved ones have a great holiday season!

Dom, thanks mate, I appreciate it. Glad you are having success with AF, cannot wait to see it fill in. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones, Happy New Year, 2017 is going to be epic :)

Hi Perry,

A merry Christmas to you and your loved ones. Hope you are enjoying your day.

Can I bother you with a question, for the af carbon and zeomix, is there a need to rinse thoroughly before use? Is it true the dirty dusts if unwashed contains high phosphates?

Many thanks,

Riz.

Just bring your video up on Ytube and right click on it while it's playing - third option down is ' copy embed code '
Just paste that where you want the video, nothing else needed. You owe me a frag of the Bubble Gum Milli............

Hi Riz, I actually soak the Zeo in RODI water for several hours, or sometimes over night. I rinse several times in RODI water to ensure all the dust comes off them. I adopted this from my days of running zeovit, just use the same preparation methods. Thanks for checking in and delayed Merry Christmas, and have a Happy New Year Riz!!!

I wish I could get a bubblegum to you, just to see how beautiful it would be in your tank, lol... Thanks for the tip! Happy New Year Mate!

Thanks Perry. Do you do the same for carbon?

Sort of yes.
I boil RODI in microwave, and pour over carbon measured for use. I allow it to cool over night or for several hours then rinse a few more times with RODI. I usually prepare all medias night before I exchange.

Hi Perry,

Why is it necessary to use boiled RODI? I simply rinse my carbon several times in RODI.

Just a method I started when using zeovit, they did not require boiled, but heated water to soak carbon, some things don't change, lol... I also believe it helps to make the carbon not to rise in the reactor, IMO it stays in place this way. I am sure soaking could achieve the same effect. Cheers
