Pete's 110 build

Beautiful pics Pete.
thanks
Nice... I'm still contemplating picking up some new candy next couple of weeks.
sorry it's been a while since I've posted, did you get anything new?

Nice, I love the hoeksemai. The blue is incredible.

Last lighting question, what color of t5 bulbs do you use?
thanks - there are 2x UV Actinic White (12k), 1x Giesemann Aquablue Plus and a 1x Korallen-Zucht Fiji Purple

No updates for 16 days...? Hoping you are just on vacation or taking some time away from computer land..... :worried:

still here, but been busy with family the past few weeks; including getting my daughter married - so I'm out of money

things are doing great - the Hoeksemai has a good 1/2" of growth on it. I'll see if I can get a decent picture of it up this weekend.

And, the 2 brownouts I picked up are getting some color in them
here's one under LED's

and under T5's

I guess I was lucky with the Hoeki as it was nice soft blue when I got it and it pretty much stayed that way. At first it was looking like it was going to loose some color but apparently it acclimated to the tank flow, nutrient and light levels pretty quickly; quickly being relative to how long corals can take to make adjustments to a new environment that is.

Here is an updated Full Tank Video (6/23/12)
<object width="853" height="480"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ACSB3lyawqk?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ACSB3lyawqk?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="853" height="480" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

and a couple pictures

Awesome !!! You could literally package that and sell as a hypnosis tool. I have the strange need to stop smoking? But I don't smoke. I had to check if I still had my watch and wallet :) Great video... What do you do with the camcorder to not have it trying to focus when panning across the tank?

outstanding!!!!!!!
thanks

thanks lanshark - I hope I didn't mess it up by adding the music

Completely agree, stellar job Pete. Your videos are such a pleasure to watch.
thanks Brett

I decided to try and take a couple top downs (without photo box) of a maricultured coral I picked up a few months ago. It's been coloring up real nice with a color combination I haven't seen before. It's actuall under my center brace where I would think the light gets filter out a bit but it seems to be doing just fine. I moved it over to take the pictures

I pulled the bio pellet reactor yesterday to give it a good cleaning and like last time I found a blob of stinky white slimey stuff in there. My guess is it's a bacteria but what ever it is it stinks. I may leave the reactor off line for a few days and see how the nitrates do
