HI Everyone,

As many of you probably already know. PFO seems to have gone out of business and we have quite a few Solaris LED hoods left instock. We are selling them below our cost, but they do not have a warranty, but might be the last chance we have for a while to put LED fixture over your tank.

i really want one of these light here.,,but wonder how long is the led last?? how many year?? and if i need new led one day then where to get it from?? any one know?? thanks

HI,

They had claimed the LEDS will last around 1/2 million hours. So it should last many years and then you would look for a new hood after they went out, unless they came out with a way to replace them. I know LED bulbs themself have to be changed in a zero dust enviroment though, so not sure if that will be possible.

WIth a full warranty, these were a pretty good gamble compared to the cost of a simular equiped halide hood, bulb changes etc.

Without a warranty, even with the big discount, it's a pretty big gamble. If you just really wanted LEDs or needed that low heat and low wattage alternative, i would consider them, but other then that, I would probably stick with halides.

I'm having Jeremy check on the Elos tank for you, got your email earlier. So should have an answer for you soon on the legs.

Good news, the legs will indeed fit on the 62" Elos tank. I just pulled one off the shelf and opened it up to measure and you will be just fine with it.

Thanks,
Jeremy
