Phoenix 14K bulb ?

I find it interesting that a Bulb with as much BLUE as the Phoenix can have just as much PAR as a 10K bulb.

Most of the time when you get more BLUE in a bulb, you get lower PAR readings AKA 20K bulbs.

Well I just ordered my first HQI fixture with an 250w EVC ballast and I will be running the Phoenix in there. I will be getting the other one in a couple weeks. The plan is to use them w/ 2-4 54w T5s....Cant wait!

This is not helping, I replaced my beloved 250w AB 10K with a Phoenix day before yesterday. The blue cast from the bulb does wash out the colors with it's haze. I used to be able to see three or four different colors of coralline, now it all blends together. Its just not natural looking. I'll stick it out a while and see if it changes.

Am I just reading it wrong or what, but the Nepturion puts out like 68 PAR when Shielded and the Phoenix 14k puts out like 79 PAR on the same ballast... How is the Nepturion any better? What am I missing man?

If you go to the one bulb test, you will get 79 on EVC ballast.

I already have 2 of the same housings with 250W Phoenix 14k DE lamps but they are running on Ice Cap electronic bulbs. What difference would the PFO Electronic Ballast provide? Thanks
