Photo of the day (one image per post)

The start of an SCCA Spec Racer class at Sebring International at the January Double National race. This one is special to me because I'm held back from the hole in the chainlink fence that the 'professional' photographers use by a 'spectator' fence that is 15' further back. So I'm using an 850mm lens (an Olympus SP-800 super zoom/point and shoot camera which has a 40x zoom) that lets me look through the hole in the fence anyway. But the bad news is a friend of mine was qualified in the top 6 and his car isn't even visible in this shot as he is directly behind another car. One of the most technical shots I've taken, over coming tough set up issues and then I don't even get my friend in the photo! But I raced in this class for 4 years and love the photo anyway.

Where's the like button? :) I'd be happy if I took that pic. Nice tonality and composition. Wing extension. Even got some tongue.

This is my 'like button'. Probably not what you're looking for. :lmao:

Really cool pic Jesse - I like to too. The frame matte you've been using lately is sweet as well, really get that depth perception from the pic.

My wife and I went for a beach walk on Lovers Key in SW Florida. I had my point & shoot super zoom camera.

This Osprey was in a tree top about 200 to 250 feet away.

The Red Heron was only 100 to 150 feet away.

Roseate Spoonbill is not very common around here any more, so I consider myself lucky, and this one was 250 to 300 feet away.
