Photo of the day (one image per post)

My sweetest angel wants a play date with your dog.

Let me explain my train pic. I was driving over to my buddy's house. When I got stopped at a light, this train passed on my right. I looked down and my camera was sitting in the passenger seat. I reached down and grabbed it. Just then the light turned green. I took off and caught up to the engine. With one hand on the camera, I turned it on, made a couple settings, put the camera up and took a few shots, (no, I didn't think to roll the window down.)

We were cruising side by side, and the guy driving saw me and started blowing his horn. I just waved and started laughing. Not a bad shot for being one handed, through a window with both me and the train moving at about 35mph.

Clearwing Sphinx Moth a.k.a The Hummingbird Moth

It's nicknamed "The Hummingbird Moth" because it's wings flap as fast as a hummingbird does and it hovers over the flower like a hummingbird does. It never lands while eating.

Nice shot TrenchToast!

Thanks! I took photography when I was in high school but didn't think much of it after I graduated. After my dad past away in 2010 I suffered from depression pretty bad. The depression resulted in me turning towards photography again and I've been growing my equipment and eye ever since. It's a hobby not a profession so I'm not balls deep into it with a $5k camera but I have put a decent amount of money into it. Newegg is my friend!

Current equipment:
Canon 60D

Lenses:
Canon IS EFS 18-200mm telephoto zoom (primary lens)
Canon EFS 10-22mm ultra wide angle
Canon EF 75-300mm telephoto zoom
Tamron 90mm 1:2.8 macro

Other equipment:
Bower SFD926C flash
Dolica proline tripod with ball mount
Lots of filters UV,Polarize, IR, NT, etc.
Bower wired remote

Just having fun with technology. An artistic view of the inside of my gaming PC.

Heh this also makes for a great smartphone wallpaper. :D
