Picasso Percula Club

Picked these guys up about 8 months back...both were juveniles. I had to separate them last week for a few days. The larger of the two was getting really aggressive with the little one. I released them back into the tank and all is good.

Just bought my first pair of picassos cant wait to get them, i will post pictures once they get here.... i am very excited and cant wait..... They are going into a 120 gallon that has 5 yellow tail damsels and one bi color sudo.... All i need now is a S.gigantea or a rose bubble tip...

That is a VERY beautiful pair. I seriously doubt they are wild though. The original ORA breeding pair was a captive bred regular onyx and a very rare wild caught male with the "Picasso" markings. The female in the video is both very melanistic (like an onyx) and has the abnormal or "Picasso" type markings. To find such a fish in the wild would be like hitting the lottery. Then to find the male with Picasso markings that ends up at the same store at the same time, would be like hitting the lottery then getting struck by lightning on your way to collect your money. I guess any thing's possible, but the odds are soooo stacked against it that I must think someone along the line fibbed about the origin of these fish. Regardless, it's still a very nice pair.

They look wild caught IMO

The female is an ORA, the male I got from an LFS that was going out of business and insisted that he was a semi-picasso. I tried to be nice and explain that it was a grade A and they told me they didn't care. $20 later he joined the lady.

Here's my Platinum Picasso and Sanjay's Photon pair. I have read that the platinum is derived from the Picasso lineage. They are in a temporary tank. That's why it's kind of barren.
