There was a thread on here not long ago about several Petco's that mislabeled that way.
There was even some speculation it could have been intentional as a promo thing, but could have been an accidental mis ID
I wouldn't count on finding any cheap unless private party or mis ID.

Depends on the grade I saw two pairs on a website today one pair was grade b and they were 180 and there was a grade a pair that was 350.

I personally know Doni and can attest her fish are A++.. I spent months of visiting her and looking at all the fish coming home empty handed all the time as I had another pair of black clowns. We finally sold the black clowns and now these guys are the clowns in our tank. She has some great fish to choose from.

While we are on this subject I have noticed a lot of information out there about Rod. Was Rod the pioneer behind these types of fish?

I think it depends on the breeder and seller but the most common grading for picassos is for it to be grade a they have to have at least two stripes connecting on both sides of the fish.

So to the average joe Grade "B" and "A" are pretty similar. I may save the money and go with Grade "B" and put the savings into a nice BTA.

If you're not worried about symetry (I'm personally not) and want picasso's at a deal I wouldn't hesitate at all w/ going for B's
In fact I've seen many B's I like even more than some A's
I just like the random jigsaw pattern more than anything.

The cool thing about picassos is that every one is different. The one in my avatar is concidered grade b becase none of the stripes connect on the other side even though all the stripes connect on his right side. I have seen a lot of grade b picassos that i like better than grade a picassos. I guess its personal prefferance.

LOL, yeah, mine are no longer in that RBTA, but I keep it pretty much for same reason.
But if I get a really good pic of them in their Malu that may change.

Some of the Bs actually look nicer than the As from what I have seen. It all depends on what you want and like and grading really shouldn't matter. I liked the helmet head of white on mine and that was something I looked for when picking out two

I find these clownfish so fascinating. Not something you see on an everyday trip into the fish shop.
