Neat, can't wait to see what comes out of them patternwise.

i want two babies when there ready lol i think your pair is amazing hope that picaso has strong genes

DC, honestly i do not think any crazy patterns will result. prob. the majority will be percs, maybe onyx, with small percentage having odd patterns, hopefully if the picasso traits are dominant.

But i think in reality its just hard to predict. there are so many variable involved. I have other interesting parings that should result in more wild patterns than these. My best hope for this pair is with the RODonyx male. After talking to rod, he mentioned he has heard others with his clowns spawning, but no one has attempted to raise them. I m hoping the strong black typical of rods clowns push thru.

This is my test pair. so i can learn the process first-hand. So im crossing my fingers. There are around 200-300 babies in this first batch it appears. The male is now busy oxygenating the babies.

I have no intention of selling the babies, im in the hobby for the enjoyment the clowns give me and the challenge of the process. so please respect my thoughts at this time.

i was kidding you have great fish my rodsonyx will be here tommorow morning hopefully someday i will start a thread RODSONYX SPAWN if not i know i will get some beautifull fishys i will be reading this thread great pics on your site good luck do u leave the eggs in the tank with the parents till they hatch then catch them what are your plans for raising them

oh its ok gsmguy! :)

i just want the focus of the hread to be about information and not to become a selling forum.

also i do not even know if i can succesfully raise the babies. time will tell.

the next step is getting supplies :)

organism. the female jigsaw is about 3.5 inches and the male onyx is about 2 inches.

they have only been together for about 3 months. sorry organism i thought it was 2, until i checked the date.

Just saw this, congratulations Embryo; that's a beautiful pair! I like the pictures too. You really get the interesting variants. If you have any q's about raising them, head over to the FBF; we'd love to help out :) I'm sure you'll keep us posted ;)

Matt

Edit: Just found your thread in the FBF; maybe you can work on raising the second batch.

I do know that, but I'm not sure you can lose with them, they are both striking fish.

Wow..congratulations on your new brood. I hope to have a clown like yours someday and you now have 200+ potentials....lucky you! My fingers and toes are crossed that all the eggs hatch into heathly fry. Maybe we'll see clowns like your down here in NC someday. Amazing photo..thanks for sharing.

yes fishboy this thread is prob headed over to that forum soon. im definetly going to need the experts over there.

my routine is similar to what most people use.

frozen mysis/cyclo/bloodworms/selcon/garlic mixture about 2 times a week.

in btn forumula 1/2, cyclo, plankton , 2-3 times a day.

garlic additive or fresh garlic my clowns love the cyclo and i hatch baby brine for my blueberry gorgonian
