Pirates Cove 400 Quick update video

Pirates Cove Reef
I have not posted much on the tank, but it is progressing quite well. I have got past my crazy bubble algae bloom and my SPS are coloring up nicely. I took the video in the evening when only blue LED Reefbrites are on so this camera phone does not show the colors well. I will try and get a daylight video that will better show the fish colors when I find some more time. I have been working hard to finish up my fish room and almost done with my Genesis Renew Auto water change system for the 400 and a DOS auto water change for the 90 quarantine. This should help keep my tank progressing. I also have a CA reactor I will be setting up soon along with a Kalk reactor to keep my PH and parameters inline. I am now dosing about 330 mils a day of 2 part and my bins empty too quickly.

Enjoy,

the rock work look good Scott, can't really see all the beauty for that blue light. Is the gyre too strong cause I saw the sand shift to one side of the tank?

WTB non blue video..

Sick rock work though!

Looking good Scott. I bet those SPS are massive but look tiny in your 400. Those lightnings are amazing looking. I kind of feel bad for the nem, they look like they're smashing it.
Any chance we can see the fish room?

Thanks for honoring my request. Definitely worth the wait. The tank looks awesome Scott. Looking forward to seeing it up close and personal

I did the Rock work myself and it is built in 4 separate pieces and the large arch and a middle section are epoxied together. The large back rock weighed close to 200 lbs and the only downfall is you can not remove rock to catch fish. The rock is built around 6 closed loop inputs on the bottom of the tank and some of the focal points are rocks and ceramic pieces that caught my eye over the years. I figured out how easy it is to upload a Youtube video so I will try to get one today with more white lights on so you can better see the colors of the fish and corals. I am tidying up my Fish room so no pictures yet, but when it is done it will be a pretty interesting site to see to those that read this board. I am going to have a little gathering and tank tour on Friday evening October 9th after I help set up the Reefapalooza show. Some of my friends from out of town are coming by to see the tank and my friends are welcome to stop by and check out. PM me when it gets closer to Rap and I will have more information. I will be staying at the Ayres hotel near the Fairgrounds Saturday night and attending the Reefapalooza party at the Ayres so we will not be gathering Saturday evening at my place as in years past. I might have a beer or 2 Friday night though after we set up the show:)

It looks great, Scott . I havent seen it since the bubble algae outbreak. Looking forward to seeing the colors better. Really love the nems.

Looks great Scott!!

Trust me everybody when I say this video didn't do this tank justice. My wife and I have had the great fortune to see this tank in person, all I can say is it's awesome!!
