Pix & ID: Critters that come in your rocks: the good and the bad.

Cup coral, usually called. You'll usually get a few on FL rock.
If it looks like a limpet with no she'll, then that's a kind of limpet that has flesh covering most of the shell.
I think most of those kind are not trusted. But I'm not 100%.

White worm?.

White worm?.

I noticed a white long tentacle/worm coming out of a hole in my live rock. I'm not sure what it is. Any ideas?
I tried posting a picture but it keeps giving me an error.

Worm?

Worm?

Found another hitchhiker (or several, couldn't tell if I was looking at two ends of one or just two). Looks like some kind of worm, popped out to pull a mysis shrimp into the algae and vanished.

Been watching this guy slowly grow since coming in on my live rock back in October (From TBS) however I haven't been able to identify it. Believe it is some sort of LPS, thoughts?

Then I also found this guy crawling on the glass this morning. Could be some sort of nudibranch but resembled closer to a shell less limpet, about the size of a nickel. Any thoughts?

Hi, this is my first post so I don't know if this is even the right spot but anyway, I've been in the reef keeping for about 3 years now and I'm finally getting another tank started. It's a diy 29 with a 5 sump that fits in my dorm room. So I'm starting out fresh with dead rock and a few pieces of LR from an LFS that I know has good stuff. So it's been about 2.5 weeks and I noticed something growing on the glass, I've search a lot on this forum and on the internet and can't figure out what it is... Any ideas??

Not on my rock, but it caught a ride on my new Blue Tux.

There are (or were, seems like they've moved individually) in two small clumps about the area of a nickle, and were all clumped on small bits of hair algae.

A couple things in your photo so not sure what you're referring to. I think that's anthelia in the middle

Aye, everything else is an empty shell and one live hermit. I'm taking about the lilac-colored thing in the midfle, looks kind of like a 5-fingered anemone. To the back right is the cluster, with some bubble algae the mass of these things is clinging to (or vice versa).

For the life of me, I can't find the "edit" button on this forum.

We're talking bout the same thing.
Yeah, I'm going with anthelia. Remove it now. At least, anthelias growing mannerisms (fast, overtops SPS, competes for space with zoas, etc) make it such that I have only seen anthelia done well in few tanks
Don't and you'll be constantly scraping it off of rocks. Ask me how I know.
