Any idea? Maybe some sort of juvenile mushroom? Seems to have 8 protrusions, a xenia of some sort maybe?
A clavulariid (a "glove polyp" species) I'd say.

Impossible to say - picture is too small and since it was taken out of the water it's even harder to get a good look at the "thing". Could be algae, a sponge or something else entirely.

I have some orange critters that look like 1" long worms living in my sand along the glass. They seem to go from bottom to the top of the sand. I saw one out on the glass once time but it disappeared shortly. I'd post a pic but my camera is broken and my phone takes really poor photos. If they're worms, they move so slowly you barely notice they're moving at all.

Also, Asterina stars that are gray-ish on top. Bad kind?

This sound like either a Terebellid or a Cirratulid worm in the link below. As far as the Asterina star is concerned, I don't think anybody can distinguish the bad ones from the good ones. This is why I remove them all.

Thanks, Cloak. I pulled most of the stars and hope I can get the rest this weekend. The Cirratulid looks pretty close, I'll have to look with a magnifying glass.

Picture 1: is that good or bad anemone?
Picture 2&3: ID please.?

sry for the quality my glass isnt clean on that side and there are a lot of nerita eggs, i didnt want to clean it.

Ok, I don't have any pictures for you, or even much of a description, but I hope you can help anyway!

I've got one rock in my tank that's absolutely riddled with holes. They go way back (inches) into the rock. If I shine a light up in them, they are buzzing with pods, and occasionally I'll spot part of a bristle worm in there.

Today, my wife was watching the tank feed, when she started freaking out and asking "what the heck is that?????"

I got over to the tank just in time to see one of those holes in the rock expelling some nasty looking white slimy poo. A lot of it. Like maybe 1/2 a teaspoon! It was a thick liquid, and flowed down the face of the rock and dripped off the bottom into the water column. Of course, my clown had to snatch a mouthful.

Who's poo?

Don't really have a picture. Because they are growing inside my protein skimmer. Was just wondering what the clear looking slug like things are. They seem to look a little like a slug and a feather duster had a baby

ok finally got around to getting better pictures. i drew some red arrows.

1. the white tube i'm assuming is some sort of feather duster? good or bad?
2. the circular brown/gray things (3 red arrows). I think that's some sort of sponge?
