I read if you keep more then one you should keep an odd number. Is this true?

No. The "odd/even thing" with regards to groups of fish is a myth. The way that most likely got started is because with two fish of a given species there is one on one aggression whereas with more than two, the aggression is diffused. Also, it greatly depends on tank size and perceived territory. If a fish requires a larger territory, in a small tank the constant forced interaction will more often than not result in one being eliminated.

-Tailspot Blenny (Ecsenius stigmatura)
-Bellus Angel (Genicanthus bellus) This fish is going to be a bit too active for your sized tank; we would prefer that a minimum of 125 gallons be the tank of choice but ideally about 150 gallons

except as noted, the rest should be fine

60g with a 10g sump/refugium

I have a royal gramma basslet, 3 blue/green chromis, a saddleback clown, false percula clown, a mandarin, yellow clow goby, green clown goby. The two clowns are bonded together and have been together since they were tiny and they are now closer to 2 inches. I was wondering if it would be okay to bring in another clown pair of a different species or if I would be better off bringing in a small wrasse like a McCosker's or a Hoevens wrasse or a timor wrasse to eat fireworms off my corals?

thanks guys!

thanks guys!

I Have a 30 gal no sump, great lights, about 60lbs live rock...protein skimmer's in the mail.
In my tank I have one very sturdy, predatory marine betta, blue leggeds, turbo snails and an emerald- that's it.
I'd like to find my betta a tank mate. Is there space?
I have spotted about 6 atipsia (grr) so a fish who would help me with that problem would be nice. Also have soft corals so it would have to be somebody who wouldn't pick them to death.
Any suggestions?

I do not know the gallonage/size of an RSM 130D. However if it is equal to or less than 50 gallons, no.

The RSM 130D is a 34 gallon All-in-One before sand and live rock. Would I be able to keep just the two Yellowstripe Maroon Clownfish? I have read a number of sites say that one can be kept in a 20 gallon and if the two pair up then why not keep two in a 34?

2 ocellaris
Yellow watchman goby with pistol shrimp.
You already ok'd a possum wrasse, but can't find one at my lfs. They do have a cool clown fairy wrasse. Will he be an ok substitute with the above, snails and shrimp?

I have 2 ocellaris clowns, yellow belly blue tang, fire goby, 4 snails, 2 hermits, mushroom coral, 3 fans, a green bubble tip anemone, and a soft green coral. I would like to add more corals and anemones, but I know some fight. I would like to add ones that my clowns would host in.

My tank is 55gallons, on a filter and live rock.

No, your existing, bonded clowns would kill them

or if I would be better off bringing in a small wrasse like a McCosker's or a Hoevens wrasse or a timor wrasse to eat fireworms off my corals?

Again, no. Bristleworms are a good thing and they are an excellent scavenger helping with over feeding.

Definitely not. The characteristics of a possum wrasse and C. solorensis are vastly different. The latter needs a 50 gallon tank and can be aggressive. Also, without a female, it will lose coloration over time. Wait for the possum wrasse

A yellow belly hepatus tang requires a much (240 gallon) larger tank. Clownfish and anemone type must be matched as not all clowns will associate (the anemone hosts, the clown associates) will all anemones. Also in a smallish tank, multiple anemones will not work out well. This thread is only about marine fish compatibility, to discuss potential coral wars check out the LPS forum.

Depending on the species of clownfish; some clownfish will control up to 50 gallons (GSM) or at the least 25 gallons and will poorly tolerate some other tank mates

2 or 3 Blue Reef Chromis will end up being one or at best two; also have not been coming in healthy recently
1 - Six Line Wrasse very aggressive and will limit inhabitants going forward

I believe they are Ocellaris clownfish but not positive. Can't really tell the difference between them and Percula. Would I not be able to add anymore fish at this point unless I remove them?
