Hey Steve,
I heard you were the best at knowing which fish are best suited for aquariums, so I would love some insight on my upcoming selections. Tank is running and will be done cycling in a few weeks. It's a drilled 240 gallon (72 long, 30 wide, 25 high). Here is the list. It's also a FOWLR tank with approximately 180 pounds of live rock and 160 pounds of crushed coral.
2 ocellaris clownfish
2 diamond gobies (can I have 2 in same tank?) In a six foot tank, probably not long term
2 bangaii cardinals be sure they are tank raised, male plus female
1 queen angelfish one of my absolute favorite fish; ok in a six foot tank, better in a longer tank.
1 blue hippo tang again, does better in a longer tank but a 12-15 inch fish makes a six foot tank look small. Also, when mature, fairly aggressive
1 naso tang depends which one, but really does better in an 8 foot tank
1 yellow tang
1 flame angel (want a coral beauty as well but not sure if I can have 2 dwarf's in same tank) with reasonable aquascaping, 2 is no problem. Three is possible once the tank is mature but I would supplement feeding with all these grazers with Nori, ideally on two side of the aquarium
1 annularis angel with a queen, I would definitely not add a second large angel
5 green chromis recently coming in less than healthy and will reduce their number to one or at most two over time
1 six line wrasse limits choices going forward, also is a prolific jumper
1 lawnmower blenny marginal with the number of algae eaters
Thanks for your time!
always a pleasure
Matt
