Coming to this thread a little late but so far I’ve had good luck with fish compatibility by reading what's worked for others. Thanks in advance for helping me finish stocking. This is for a 125.

What I have already:

Black/white clown pair
Blue-green chromis (just one)
Royal gramma
Chalk bass
Bengaii cardinal
Purple firefish
Foxface
Two spot bristletooth tang

What I would like to add:

Starry blenny
Tail spot blenny
Yellow watchman goby
Orange-lined cardinal
Scissortail dartfish

Also would you please advise if any of these should not be quarantined together in a 30 gal QT? I would do no more than 3 at a time, and which 3 depends on what’s in stock on LiveAquaria.

Scissortail dartfish

no restrictions on behavioral grouping during quarantine

I would do no more than 3 at a time, and which 3 depends on what's in stock on LiveAquaria.

What do you think of my fish list? 300g DT, 200g sump 250lbs of live rock, SPS dominated reef tank. Only fish I have is Purple tang.

Ignitus Anthias (Pseudanthias ignitus) 8-10 one one male

Mystery Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus ocellatus)
Scott's Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus scottorum)
Mystery Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus ocellatus)

Genicanthus bellus Angel male and female
Watanabei Angel male and female

Dwarf Cardinalfish (Apogon parvulus) 20

Purple Tang (Zebrasoma xanthurum)
Orangeshoulder Tang (Acanthurus olivaceous)
Chevron Tang (Ctenochaetus hawaiiensis)

Firefish, Purple (Nemateleotris decora)

Sailfin/Algae Blenny (Salarias fasciatus)

Couple clowns unknown as of now.

Ignitus Anthias (Pseudanthias ignitus) 8-10 one one male feed multiple times per day for best results

Mystery Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus ocellatus) unless you have a male plus female, only one
Scott's Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus scottorum) aggressive, potentially incompatible with a mystery wrasse
Mystery Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus ocellatus) only one

Genicanthus bellus Angel male and female introduce concurrently
Watanabei Angel male and female introduce concurrently with above; Genicanthus angels can coexist but do not like additions once they have claimed territory

Dwarf Cardinalfish (Apogon parvulus) 20 excellent "schooling fish" but a difficult shipper; feed multiple times per day including nutramar ova

Purple Tang (Zebrasoma xanthurum) should be last tang introduced
Orangeshoulder Tang (Acanthurus olivaceous)
Chevron Tang (Ctenochaetus hawaiiensis)

Firefish, Purple (Nemateleotris decora) introduce early

Sailfin/Algae Blenny (Salarias fasciatus)

Couple clowns unknown as of now.

I guess I'll bite and ask. . . I've got a 29 gallon biocube(holds about 24-ish gallons after the rock, I think?) with 15 pounds of LR, though I'm thinking about adding 5-10 pounds more. Right now the filtration is just the rock, but I'm considering adding a bit of floss to be changed at least 1X weekly, and once I get a good idea of how long to run carbon, I'll be running that full time as well. I am NOT currently planning to run a skimmer on the tank(though that might change in the future at some point) but instead to do up to a 5 gallon water change weekly. I'll probably start out at 3 gallons and if that doesn't seem to be enough, bump it up from there. I'm keeping various corals in the tank, and will be upping my lights to the rapidled kit for the cubes eventually. I also would prefer something that won't make its mission in life seeking out and destroying small inverts, since I got a lot of little stuff with my LR. If it takes a swipe when something is out, that's one thing. If it would stalk it constantly, not so much.

A pair of ocellaris(1 regular, 1 black and white) both bought small and introduced a the same time.
1 either
Purple Dottyback (Pseudochromis porphyreus) OR royal gramma. Would either(not both, obviously) work? Be better than the other?

Thanks :D

the royal gramma would work and would not limit your options going forward unlike the Pseudochromis which can be very aggressive

Thanks :D

Your stocking list is fine, however the clownfish, once mature, will be aggressive. Dwarf angels are not coral safe, especially towards meaty LPS corals.

We read mixed reviews on dwarf angel and were leaning towards coral beauty or flame. Does that improve it? What cleanup crew/shrimp do you recommend?

Sadly, it is not totally predictable. And worse, a fish can be "reef safe" (an overused term) one day and wake up the next and chow down on your favorite LPS coral. However, those species are neither more nor less predictable. Since this thread is only about marine fish compatibility we do not recommend for a variety of reasons and most especially not about cleanup crew.

This is a revision based on your previous recommendation, please advise. Thanks so much for your time.

What I have already in my 125:

Black/white clown pair
Blue-green chromis (just one)
Royal gramma
Chalk bass
Bengaii cardinal
Purple firefish
Foxface
Two spot bristletooth tang

What I would like to add:

Starry blenny
McCosker's flasher wrasse (replacement for another blenny you don't recommend)
Yellow watchman goby
Orange-lined cardinal
Scissortail dartfish

Would any combination of 3 of these be alright in a 30 gal (long size) QT for 6 weeks? Thinking of ordering the wrasse, yellow watchman, and cardinal together. It's barebottom with 7 pvc pipes of various sizes.

Thanks again for providing this service, very much appreciated.

all are behaviorally compatible.

Have decided on a few fish I'd like:
2x Ocellaris or Black Onyx Clown (Probably Ocellaris due to price)
1x Flame Angel (Maybe not with LPS?)
1x Yellow Foxface
1x Helfrichi Firefish
1x Fathead Sunburst Anthias
1x Kole Yellow Eye Tang

That was my old list. I am not gonna get the Helfrichi firefish due to price currently, just cant pull it off.

I want to do chromis instead.

I was thinking of 1 or 2 Blue/Green Reef Chromis or Blue Reef Chromis. Should I just do 1 because they sometimes kill each-other off or will it be okay in a 90

Safer would be one, but be aware that chromis have been coming in less than healthy.
