I have a 93 cube (still being set up)

Already have
1 ocellaris clown
1 onyx clown
1 blue with yellow tail damsel

I would like to add some or all of these if possible. Is this too many fish? Most should stay fairly small.

6 yellow stripe cardinals
2 flasher wrasses
1 diamond goby
3 anthias I don't know if the shape of your tank would be conducive to anthias. Normally a group of anthias requires a longer tank, e.g. a 125, because of social interaction of the male "herding" the females.
1 green chromis

Except as noted, should be fine

150 g

150 g

I have a 150 g (72 x 18 x 28) mixed reef, mostly lps and soft, but will have few sps in the future. 40 g refugium, and about 100 lbs. Of liverock. I currently have:
1 yellow tang
3 blue/green chromis
1 diamond goby
Small cuc, hermits and snails

My fish list i would like:
Naso tang
Blue tang
Mandarin(currently have a decent pod population going)
Blue spot jawfish
Wrasses...flasher, mystey? Open to suggestions
Anthias... again open to suggestions
Possibly a couple dwarf angels; lemon peel, coral beauty, bi color?? I know there is a possibility they will munch on corals
Is a copperband butterfly out of the question? I like the looks of them, lol.
I know that might be pushing the amount of fish for my tank, so any advice would be appreciated :-)
I forgot that i want a pair of clownfish, snowflake...

1 yellow tang an established yellow tang will make an introduction of any tang problematic
3 blue/green chromis will become one over time
1 diamond goby
Small cuc, hermits and snails

My fish list i would like:
Naso tang needs a much larger (longer) tank
Blue tang needs a much larger (longer) tank
Mandarin(currently have a decent pod population going) your tank size, once established for nine months or longer will be sufficient as long as you do not introduce copepod eaters to compete
Blue spot jawfish needs cooler temperatures for long term success
Wrasses...flasher, mystey? Open to suggestions a mystery wrasse is aggressive and will preclude a mandarin
Anthias... again open to suggestions

As those who follow this thread know, I do not provide suggestions for a variety of reasons. However I am always glad to analyze any stocking list for compatibility.

Thanks for the input. Yeah i started with 5 chromis...down to three. Ok will not go with the other tangs or jawfish. Anthias would probably be bartletts and lyretail, 3 each?

Hi, I already posted this in reef discussion but was told this is the place to go.

I've been putting together a fish list for my new 120. I don't have it written in stone, but I do have a few I really like and would like to know about compatibility and stocking order.

1. Kole Tang
2. 3 Anthias, either Bartlett's or Lyretail
3. Scott's Fairy Wrasse
4. Midas Blenny

I don't want to run into any aggression issues, so who should I put into my QT first? Any other advice or suggestions are welcomed and appreciated. Thanks

Newly setup 300DD with 340lbs rock and Aquamaxx cone 5 skimmer (550G). Planning FOWLR/Predators. Here is my dream stock list - what feedback do you all have and where should I begin? I have a QT in place for hypo so want to stagger them.

Thanks in advance!

Porcupine puffer
Blue Spotted puffer

Emperor angel
Queen angel
Koran angel
French angel

Blue throat trigger
Humu humu trigger
Niger trigger
Clown trigger? Last

Panther grouper? Small/Last

Yellow tangs school 3-5
Powder blue tang
Naso tang
Purple tang
Royal blue tang

Harlequin Tusk
Hardwicke wrasse
Banana wrasse
Pinkface wrasse
Scott's Fairy wrasse

Foxface/rabbit fish

Butterflyfish?

I am re-starting my tank, its a 34 gallon hex that I had for about 3 or 4 years. I am now redoing it and would like to have a
flamehawk fish. would these guys work well with him ?
a pair of CB bangai cardinals,
a Royal gramma.
a neon goby

Thanks,
Richard

These have a greater propensity to convert to male which then is problematic. Try resplendent or carberryi and stick with all the same species, 1 male and the rest female.

1. Kole Tang
2. 3 Anthias, either Bartlett's or Lyretail anthias do best if fed multiple times per day; while these species are easier, they have a propensity to all become male
3. Scott's Fairy Wrasse a very aggressive fairy wrasse, I would suggest a more peaceful one
4. Midas Blenny may nip at the fins of planktivores

I don't want to run into any aggression issues, so who should I put into my QT first? Any other advice or suggestions are welcomed and appreciated. Thanks

most aggressive last, most passive first

Hi, I am finished cycling 160 gallon tank with live rock and live sand. It would be of great help if you could give me advise regarding following fish.
I plan after my tank matures to keep soft corals first and then slowly go for lps. This is my first sw:)
Acanthurus olivaceous or Tennenti
Odonus niger
Thalassoma lunare
Naso elegans or lituratus
Zebrasoma desjardini
Chelmon rostratus
Paracantharus hepatus

As I understand the ones below I cannot keep though they are pretty
Acanthurus leucosternon
Sohal
Lineatus

Thanks all

125g reef with 40g sump, 100-140 pounds of rock (I'm at 100, thinking about getting more, may need it), 100 pounds of sand, 20g refugium with pods.

3 Black Axil or Blue Reef Chromis (not sure which yet)
1 Yellowstriped Cardinalfish
1 Firefish
2 Ocellaris Clownfish
1 Yellow Tang
1 Green Mandarin
1 Whip Fin Fairy Wrasse
1 Scopas Tang
2 Lamarck's Angelfish
1 Sleeper Banded Goby
1 Black Cap Basslet
3 Princess Anthias

1 cleaner wrasse (what kind?)
1 cleaner shrimp (what kind?)

Acanthurus olivaceous or Tennenti
Odonus niger may be moderately to majorly aggressive
Thalassoma lunare aggressive
Naso elegans or lituratus requires much larger tank
Zebrasoma desjardini requires much larger tank
Chelmon rostratus requires peaceful tankmates (the ones you have so far are not peaceful)
Paracantharus hepatus requires much larger tank

As I understand the ones below I cannot keep though they are pretty correct
Acanthurus leucosternon
Sohal
Lineatus

actually this thread is only answered by Reef Central Staff

3 Black Axil or Blue Reef Chromis (not sure which yet) a group will become one over time
1 Yellowstriped Cardinalfish
1 Firefish introduce early
2 Ocellaris Clownfish
1 Yellow Tang must be last
1 Green Mandarin after 9 months maturity
1 Whip Fin Fairy Wrasse aggressive
1 Scopas Tang I suggest only one tang in this sized tank but if you do two, they must be added concurrently
2 Lamarck's Angelfish pairs are problematic because males are difficult shippers
1 Sleeper Banded Goby will deplete your sand bed of beneficial organisms
1 Black Cap Basslet
3 Princess Anthias difficult; not a beginner fish at all

1 cleaner wrasse (what kind?) undesirable for a variety of reasons; most do not make it, and those that do survive drive the fish that will not accept cleaning behavior nuts in a smallish tank. Has no effect on parasite control.
1 cleaner shrimp (what kind?) does not clean parasites but shows interesting cleaning behavior; multiples work if added concurrently

Thank you so much. Though I can't understand how sohal lives in this 400 gallon in wall natural sun lit reef

1 Whip Fin Fairy Wrasse aggressive

I read everywhere that these are only aggressive towards other wrasses, of which I plan on having only this one. This is disappointing =[ I also realized it will probably outcompete a mandarin for food anyway

Are there any colorful, peaceful, reef-friendly, active fish you can suggest? I'm having trouble figuring out a stocking list meeting these criteria

You are more than welcome to use "everywhere" as your source of information; I will not be offended in the slightest. In your particular stocking list, the firefish is the one at risk of that fish's aggression.

Are there any other aggression issues with it? I'd sooner get rid of the firefish to keep the wrasse
