You are most welcome. Always a pleasure to help!

Hi. I am looking at stocking a 29 gallon mixed reef and would like your opinion regarding the species of fish as well as some guidance regarding overstocking. I want to keep the corals and inverts happy and am not looking to create a lot of maintenance trouble with too many fishes. The tank is just being set up now and will consist of mostly soft corals, worms, polyps, and maybe some LPS. The inverts I want to use are a green brittle star, pepperment shrimp, and maybe some sexy shrimp, and maybe a coral banded shrimp. Various snails and no crabs (though I think they are super interesting- I don't want any trouble). So the fish I'd like are listed below in order of importance. There are five listed- if that's too many I'd go with four, or three, or whatever would keep them happy and the tank healthy.
1. A pair of Ocellaris Clownfish (one if the tank is too small for a breeding pair)
2. Coral Beauty Angel
3. Banggai Cardinal
4. A Wheeler's Watchman Goby or a Sixline Wrasse or a Lawnmower Blenny (whichever would get along best with the others).
The watchman goby is far preferable of the three you wish to consider. A coral beauty is not going to be LPS safe.
Thanks for the help.
-Aaron
Thanks Steve. Wow, you are fast. Just so I'm clear, would the other's be suitable (2 clowns, a cardinal fish and the goby)? And if the LPS were excluded, would the dwarf angel be okay? Thanks again. -Aaron
55g DT w/20g sump, 55lbs BRS reef saver, 1" sand bed, 6" Reef Octopus pinwheel skimmer, 4' TEK T5 4 bulb w/ 2 aquablue specials and 2 aquablue plus.
Wanting to add...
2 blue/green chromis chromis are problematic for a couple of reasons; first, they have been coming in less than healthy, second, a group often ends up being just one because they do not like each other
2 ocellaris clowns
mandarin(suggestion on type) I would not recommend a mandarin for someone new to the hobby in less than a 75 gallon mature tank
Any other suggestion on bright colored guys for a beginner?
as those who follow this thread know, I do not provide recommendations for a variety of reasons. However I will happily review any stocking list for compatibility
suggestions on snails, crabs etc etc..
12g jbj nano cube with 28lbs of live rock, 15lbs live sand. Koralia nano 240, hydor flow rotating defelctor, maxijet 900. Filtration is live rock only. Currently have 4 hermit crab, 2 Turbo snails, and an emerald crab. I intend on getting a pair of small ocellaris clowns and maybe a yellow watchman if ky tank permits. What do you guys think??
a tank of that size cannot really handle a pair of clowns, let alone a pair of clowns and any other fish. By the way, this thread is answered only by reef central staff.
I see, what would you recommend I get?
Thanks,
Bryan

Thank you in advance.:fish1:
One of the reasons, among others, I do not provide recommendations is that you need to develop research skills about what may or may not be appropriate for your tank. Live Aquaria and other online sites provide information for you to research, and I will be happy to provide compatibility commentary on any prospective stocking list.
10g, 10lbs of dry rock, 2" of live sand, aquaclear 30 'hang on the back' filter, 2 aqueon circulation pump 500, aqueon 100w heater, 20" aquaticlife t5 ho dual lamp
I was thinking of getting 2 tank bred ocellaris clown fish
What else can I put in a 10g tank with my 2 clowns without it being overcrowded?
after sometime of raising the clowns i would like to get into reefs and corals as well. but that's for down the road after i'm able to keep the clowns alive.

Swap the mandarin for a Kaudern's Cardinal or a male/female pair, tank raised
Swap both chromis for a green clown gobby
add a yellow tail damselfish I would not do this one but otherwise fine.
add carpenter's flasher wrasse
5 cerith snails
2 scarlet reef hermits
2 peppermint shrimp
