Been out of the hobby for a couple years, so a little out of touch on these things, and my previous tank was small so stocking it was easy when you pretty much have a dozen choices.
My new set up is the 4x2x2 120 falling with a 40 gallon breeder as the refugium. Right now it is running 2x250 halides but will be LEDs soon. My main love is corals and it will be a mixed reef. Will still need some more like in it so fish and inverts will be a must.
Wish list:
purple tang should be added last as zebrasoma tangs, once established prevent some other fish being added
Flame angel (unlikely due to possible danger to corals) most dangerous to meaty lps corals but generally not reef safe
Pair of clowns most likely plain memo type clowns.
Fairy wrasses....this is where I have questions....how many can I have together, and do they all need to be the same kind, or will they prefer variety...
While I do not recommend fish (for a variety of reasons), it depends on which ones, whether they will coexist peaceful. In general, blue based coloration species tend to me more aggressive. Based on the visibility issue discussed below, flasher wrasses should be considered instead.
Firefish ...thinking purple fire fish, I have read no more than two together?
a mated pair is the maximum, introduced early on as they are easily intimidated
And a sand sifting goby or yellow watchman goby..... If your orientation is corals, do not get any sand sifting fish. The watchman is fine, however.
Maybe a blenny of some sort.
I'm open to suggestions too, my tank is highly visible due to my wife running a child care from home, so pretty and active fish are wanted.
