Thanks Steve,

Also, my purple firefish just seems to hover in one spot in the tank. Is this normal behavior?

Yes, they are planktivores waiting for the next meal to float by in the water column. If they do not show this behavior most of the time, they are being intimidated and will starve to death.

I doubt that they will take him back. But he is a terror. Your choice. Well beyond the scope of this thread.

Snails and hermits are somewhat mutually exclusive since hermits will kill snails for their shells.

Getting closer to fish time, cycle just beginning.
Have revised my fish list.
29G tank, 10G sump

Thinking of
Bicolor or Midas Blenny
Royal Gramma
2 Ocellaris Clownfish
2 Firefish

As much as i like the Hawkfish, i'll probably want to get a shrimp, so he's off the list.

I just added a snowflake clown to my tank. It is the largest fish in the tank at about 1.5-2 inches. My six line had went after it a couple times already and it is about 1-1.5 inches. Is this something I should worry about

Absolutely. Six line wrasses are aggressive and a problem. Especially in small tanks.

I have a 50 gallon with some bumble bee snails and a nassarius snail.

revised list of what i would like to get-
2 Kaudern's Cardinal, Tank Bred
1 Royal Gramma Basslet
1 Ocellaris Clownfish, Tank Bred

thanks for any help or fish suggestions!

well I am going to keep an eye on my sixline over the next day or so. if it gives my new clown problems I will be bringing him to the store and they already said they would take him. if I do I would like to get a royal gramma. would this be a bad mix with the 2 clowns, green clown goby, and firefish.

other possible tank mates would be to replace 6 line if needed, please let me know what you think
- hector goby
- rainford goby
- pearly jaw fish
- mandarin goby
- Red Pygmy Possum Wrasse (I don't know if this is aggressive or not)
- Steinitz Goby
- Aurora Goby
- Zebra Barred Goby
- Diagonal Bar Prawn Goby
- pajama cardinal
- Ruby cardinal
