Except as noted, all should be fine.
Thank you, noted on the Tangs but have plenty of time to decide on something different.
Do you think I could add two Jaw fish and two clowns (mated hopefully)?
Except as noted, all should be fine.
i am new to the hobby and i have had my tank cycleing for 1 week now. i have a 80 gallon tank with about 80 lbs of live rock and 3 corals not sure what they are was given to my by the person that helps me set up my tank. i have 2 fans not what they are called. i have a sump with a ASM Protein Skimmer Sedra 3500 in it and i have had my protein skimmer running for 3 days now and the tank going for a week. i want to put 2 Ocellaris Clownfish and 1 Cleaner Shrimp in it due to they are on sale at the store near me. is it to early to put the clown fish and shrimp in?

yes, to soon to add fish. Please check all levels and read all the sticky's first.
Quick question. I'm moving into a 210g. Thought I was done but have some local people selling that now I'm kinda tempted.
Current stock list is :
2 inch Wennerae mantis shrimp
Big blue mandarin
Ora Indigo dottyback
Fumanchu lion
Dwarf fuzzy lion.
Huge 15yr old female maroon clown with 2-3 inch male friend.
Kole Tang
Sand sifting goby.
Coral banded and skunk cleaner shrimp.
I'd like to add a small sailfin tang. And theres also a 6 inch Pink tail trigger that allegedly is very friendly/calm and has been in a tank with mandarin/small clowns/sunrise dottybacks and handfed. (lazy)
Hello everyone,
The wife wants a yellow fish, the LFS have a yellow tang, (that is what she really wants) but I keep telling her it will outgrow the tank. Actually, it is not a size issue of the fish but a territory requirement
So since we can't have the Tang, she is not concerned with the species but wants it to be yellow.
The LFS has a Lemon Peel Angel but I am concerned that it may harm corals. What are thoughts on an this angel? No dwarf angel is totally reef safe, especially towards meaty LPS corals. Frogspawn and related corals of the same family tend to be left alone.
If not, anyone have any ideas for a yellow fish that would fit in with what I have?
As those who follow this thread know, I do not provide recommendations for a variety of reasons. However I am always happy to review stocking plans for compatibility. By the way, this thread is only answered by Reef Central Staff.
Thanks
TOM G

I get that the trigger is a meany. Do tangs count as aggressive? Or did I have other things you count? (My clowns are strangely very polite) Did forget a flame angel which was fine until I added a Wellso.
Fish that eat other fish are aggressive; you have two of them. Triggers are aggressive. Sailfin tangs need a longer tank by the way. (Your clowns may or may not remain polite).
I'll see what the fowlr guys say on the trigger, but my main concern is just the Kole and Sailfin tang paired with possibly the flame angel. (The kole/flame chase and mess with each other a bit but not much after the first weeks I added the kole, kole mercilessly chases the goby but I'm hoping that is fine once I'm in an appropriate sized tank, had to hold the tang for 1 month until the 210 was ready.)
Hi, I have one yellow tail damsel in a 20g tank, can I add a starry blenny, will they get along? thanks
OkProbably not. Tank is small and damsels are aggressive.
In my 125 with a 40g sump/refugium (Aquamaxx CO-2 ConeS skimmer) I have the following:
2 Pajama Cardinal
Lawnmower Blenny
Blue Chromis
Purple Firefish
2 Wyoming White Clowns
McCoskers Flasher Wrasse
Flame Angel
Several cleaner, a peppermint and a fire shrimp
I'd like to add:
Blue Reef Chromis
Yellowhead Jawfish
Yasha Goby and shrimp
Green Mandarin
One Spot Foxface
Purple Tang
Either a White Tail Bristletooth Tang (always unavailable!) or a Powder Blue Tang
Any compatibility issues?
Overstocked? If so, by how much?
I'm worried there are a lot of fish in the lower portion of the tank.
Thanks!
Snorvich you missed one! Thanks in advance.

Blue Reef Chromis careful since chromis have been coming in with uronema symptoms
Yellowhead Jawfish
Yasha Goby and shrimp
Green Mandarin if tank is at least 9 months old
One Spot Foxface multiple grazers will not do well in this sized tank despite being at the minimum tank size for a single tang which can be found here I would suggest a maximum of two with them added last and concurrently. The purple and powder blue will both be on the aggressive side. The bristletooth least aggressive
Purple Tang see note above

I'm worried there are a lot of fish in the lower portion of the tank. pretty busy stocking list; I personally would find that too busy and the fish may as well.
Thanks!
I currently have two juvenile ocellaris clowns in a 14 gallon tank. The tank has live rock, and has both a power filter and an undergravel filter, as well as a powerhead that keeps the water moving and a heater and a fan (used at different times, depending on the weather!) to keep the tank at the proper temperature. I don't plan on adding any more fish to the tank.
I am wondering if 2 ocellaris clowns are okay in a tank this size? I know that it's a small tank, but I was told that it was okay. I actually read a book on clownfish that recommended starting with a 10 gallon tank and getting 2 clowns, a sea star, snails, and possible other fish, if I remember correctly. So I thought it would be okay, but I'm now starting to wonder. They seem perfectly content at the moment. The two fish bonded very quickly, and there's no fighting or aggression yet; I don't know if that will change at all as they get older and one tries to assert dominance. We've gone a few months without problems though.
I'm just wondering if the tank will be okay for them as they grow, though, or if I should start thinking about saving some money to upgrade. Also, I'm wondering if I need any different equipment? I was told that a tank this size didn't need a sump, and I live in an apartment, so I'm trying to limit how much room it all takes. But I'm more concerned with the welfare of the fish than the space.
Sorry for all the questions- I'm new at this, and want to do what's best for my little friends! Thanks!
