I have a Black & White Ocellaris Clownfish. only had for about a month.

Wanting to add more clown(s).

I would like to add 1 or 2 black Ice clowns or 1 or 2 Snowflake clowns. you get one pair of clownfish of the same species (not necessarily the same morphological appearance

Can I add 2 or will they become 2 if I have 3?

Thanks.

I have a 36g bowfront live rock sump with refugium skimmer and it's got LPS and zoa and 2 ocellaris right now... I want to add a court jester goby for looks and help with any algae that might arise. Will he be ok with the clowns and not bother them wen they become big enough to reproduce.

Should be no problem at all

Coral Angel
Kole Yellow Eye Tang

Coral Angel you are not going to be able to adequately sustain three grazers in a 75 gallon tank
Kole Yellow Eye Tang you are not going to be able to adequately sustain three grazers in a 75 gallon tank
Ocellaris Clownfish
Royal Gramma
McCoskers Flasher Wrasse

also, pick either snails or hermit crabs; crabs will kill the snails for their shells

Ill take fox face off list will i be able to add female wrasses or would i have to choose one male then. Or could i add another clown

Another clown of the same species is doable as long as it is smaller than the existing clownfish. Wrasses do not occupy the same ecological niche as "grazers" so eliminating the foxface does not impact that. If it were me, I would add a male and female of the same species of flasher wrasse rather than one each of two species.

I want to add some blue and yellow to my tank. I am thinking about a chromis or a damsel for the blue and don't have any ideas for yellow. no tangs please! I know damsels can be a pita but am unsure in a tank this size. Also must be coral/invert safe. My dwarfs are the only exception. I'm also looking for suggestions for a wrasse or two. I'm thinking about a pair of cleaner wrasse but would like to know if there are any other good choices.

What I have
4 Lyritail anthias
4 dispar anthias
3 flame angels
3 multicolor angel
2 royal gramma
1 Midas blenny
1 yellowhead pearly jawfish
15 firefish slowly trying to remove them

Future list
Blotched anthias pair
Fathead sunburst anthias several
Kauderns cardinalfish pair
Diamond watchman goby

Thanks

for blue coloration, damsels cannot be beaten and in your sized tank, probably would not be a problem. Springer damsel or Blue Devil damsels probably have the color you are looking for. (Mildly aggressive but not terribly so)

cleaner wrasses, except those from Africa have a poor record of survival and you to not have fish that would readily become "clients". Note that cleaner wrasses do not have any effect on parasite control.

Future list
Blotched anthias pair
Fathead sunburst anthias several
Kauderns cardinalfish pair should be tank raised and male plus female only
Diamond watchman goby additional yellow head jawfish instead would be cool

Thanks

Hi , several months ago i lost all but 2 of my fish due to what i believe was Marine Velvet. The remaining 2,( a six line and a Maroon Clown about 2.5 " long), went into OT for 93 days while the DT remained fish free. Since, 2 weeks ago the six line died from old age,(had it 5-6 years). SO, that being said, i now have just the one clown with it's host Anemone in a 175 BF, system total approx 410 gals, with corals and lightly stocked LR in a free standing Pinnacle formation.
Right now the coral mix is SPS/LPS and for the time being i will concentrate on adding more SPS over time BUT, if you could provide any suggestions for a peaceful and stress free non coral munching fish stocking list in some order of progression i would be thankful and seriously consider it.

The DT is bare bottom and there is a cleaner shrimp as well :)

As those who follow this thread know, I do not provide recommendations for a variety of reasons. However I am always ready and willing to analyze any stocking list for compatibility. Sorry about your bout with velvet. I am concerned that this fish may have developed immunity to it and still may be a carrier. How was it treated in QT?

It was treated first with the tank transfer method, then with Cupramine then with Prazipro. Each treatment in a separate QT.

Should be ok. TT has no effect on velvet as you know. Cupramine, maintained at therapeutic dosage, should have killed the parasite in 4 weeks.

I have a 65 gallon full of live rock with a sump. Right now there is a mandarin, a Flasher Wrasse and a Helfrichi. They've been there for months and the pod population is stable. I can see dozens of pods out in the day and after dark using a red flashlight I can't count them. About 2 months ago I added a Watchman for the Pistol Shrimp. I was wondering about adding some Barnacle Blennies? Maybe a jawfish? Would the pistol Shrimp shoot the jawfish? How long should they be Quarantined?

Thank you.

Quarantine protocol is beyond the scope of this thread. The pistol shrimp will not react to the jawfish but the the watchman goby may have issues with it. Barnacle blennies should be fine.

Stocking Order

Stocking Order

75G Reef tank is almost done cycling, so trying to develop a stocking plan.Assuming I quarantine each fish for a minimum of 30 days, the planned fishy additions over the next two years are:

- Ocellaris Clownfish
- Royal Gramma
- Helfrichi Firefish
- Yellow watchman goby and pistol shrimp
- Mckoskers flasher wrasse
- Yellow-eye Kole tang
- Blue-Green Reef Chromis
- Banggai Cardinal
- Yellowtail Damsel
- Neon Goby
- Solon Wrasse

Any suggestions on stocking order to maximize tank harmony & minimize stress on less aggressive inhabitants?

Everything looks good just the two wrasse are most likely not going to get along and I am sure the damsel will eventually pick on one or two of the fish. Just go slow on adding everything since your tank is new.
