90 gallon

90 gallon

Here's my wish list for my 48x18x24 tank.
Fish:
Coral Beauty Angel
Percula Clown
Blue Mandarin
Yellow Eyed Kole Tang
Melanrus Fairy Wrasse
Yellow Watchman Goby
2 Bangali Cardinalfish
Purple Firefish Goby
Heniochus Butterfly
Inverts:
Blood Red Fire Shrimp
Coral Banded Shrimp
Linckia Blue Starfish
Green Brittle Star
Corals:
Unknown, but not limited by fish/invert choices

Additions if possible to fish list:
Red Scooter Blenny
McCoskeri Flasher Wrasse
Flame Angel
Lemon Peel Angel

Also, some advice on what order to add each fish would be appreciated. Is the order of additions important for invertabrates or corals?

Thanks so much for your sharing of knowledge.

Here's my wish list for my 48x18x24 tank.
Fish:
Coral Beauty Angel two dwarf angels would work, but not three
Percula Clown
Blue Mandarin last, after 9 months
Yellow Eyed Kole Tang next to last with mandarin, last
Melanrus Fairy Wrasse
Yellow Watchman Goby
2 Bangali Cardinalfish must be male plus female and tank raised
Purple Firefish Goby first
Heniochus Butterfly
Inverts:
Blood Red Fire Shrimp
Coral Banded Shrimp can take fish
Linckia Blue Starfish will starve to death over time
Green Brittle Star can take fish
Corals:
Unknown, but not limited by fish/invert choices

Additions if possible to fish list:
Red Scooter Blenny not with a mandarin
McCoskeri Flasher Wrasse
Flame Angel two dwarf angels would work, but not three
Lemon Peel Angel two dwarf angels would work, but not three

Also, some advice on what order to add each fish would be appreciated. Is the order of additions important for invertabrates or corals? for the most part, it is not important

Thanks so much for your sharing of knowledge. always a pleasure . . .

I think a few of us got skipped. :) Must have been in your page change spots. hehe (the 2 above me don't seem to have replies either.....)

Yea! I got to upgrade from a JBJ 28. :) So back again for additions. (Most were ok'd before, just making sure on a couple since this is a bigger setup.)

50 Gallon cube with a 20 gallon sump/refugium; 2” sandbed; 60lb liverock/rubble; SCA-301 Skimmer. 8 mo. Fully cycled and stable for 6 mo.

Current:

1 A. Percula (still a juvenile - 1”)
1 Yasha + Tiger Snapping Shrimp (the 2nd of whom I have not seen for 36 hrs and this concerns me. They seem to like to stress me more than I stress them!)

1 Tiger Sand Conch
5 Astra Snails
4 Cerith Snails
5 Peppermint Shrimp (No more aptasia!)
1 Tuxedo Urchin

Tank has algae and I have the recommended (Liveaquaria fish stats studying/reading) supplements for algae grazers.

Additions over the next few mo.:

1 Purple Firefish (next - and soon while A. Perc is still young)
1 Possom Wrasse
1 Sailfin/Alage Blenny or Black Sailfin Blenny (Some pick on smaller gobys?)
2-3 Sexy Shrimp (LA says “small groups” - is this small enough or too small a group?)

I am so sorry, it sometimes happens when my page changes when multiple posts come in. Mea Culpa

all should be fine. If it were me, I would increase the sexy shrimp to more like 5-8. There is a social interaction that is interesting.

Hi. I would like your advice on my stocking list for my 60 gallon cube 24x24x24 with a 20 gallon sump.

1- false percules
1- Midas blenny will nip on the fins of planktivores
1-watchman goby/shrimp pair
1- purple firefish
1- flame hawkfish
3- blue reef chromis will diminish to one over time

My main question is if the Midas Benny will get along with the Fishfish in this amount of space. Thanks in advance.

10x Anthias species
Fairy wrasse pair

Ocellaris clownfish pair
Starry Blenny
3x neon gobies they do not like each other; I am not sure if a six foot tank is sufficient separation
Black cap basslet
10x Anthias species should be fed multiple times per day, as should the tang
Fairy wrasse pair
Mandarin dragonet (after 1 year)
Dragonface Pipefish (after 1 year)

fine except as noted

What a fantastic thread. A whole lot can be learned in about an hour of reading past responses. Thank you for that. Here is my plan please let me know if I am on the right path.

135 gallon, 72" x 24" x 19", 140 pounds of live rock split between the tank and sump 100/40.

Placed in this order after the CUC.

1 Carberryi Anthias
1 Firefish
1 Tanaka Pygmy Wrasse
2 Neon Gobies they do not like each other; if a bonded pair, two is fine, otherwise not
2 Ocellaris or Percula Clowns, bought small.
1 Orchard Dottyback
1 Kole Tang - Is this tank to shallow? should be ok. Length is the critical dimension

Thanks a ton!

sorry about the miss!!!

Thanks Steve appreciate it and no problem with the miss, good things only come with time. :)

Unfortunately, I do miss posts sometimes, especially at page changes despite my maximizing the number of posts per page. And worse, my memory is not good enough to remember what people have from post to post so I always need to have the entire plan and tank size resubmitted.

46g Bowfront
50lbs live rock
30lbs live sand

Pygmy Angel (added first, alone for ~4 weeks)
Electric Blue Damsel (Chrysiptera cyanea) (added second, with PA for 2-3 weeks)
Magenta Dottyback (Pseudochromis porphyreus) (added last)

I understand that each of these guys is a moderate bully, do you think this would be a good order? I know that an orchid would be more peaceful, but concerned the other two would bully it.

The biggest bully will be the dottyback. The next will be the damsel. If you must have these three fish, introduce in reverse order of aggressiveness, that is least first. I certainly do not recommend this stocking, however.

Perfect! I'll do that. Do they need to be added at once or can I do 4 and 4?
