Well, I had grand plans for a larger, longer tank, but it seems my plans fell through. Fortunately I have a 150 gallon cube, so that seems to be the direction I am going for my reef upgrade, and I may keep my 90 gallon as a FOWLR. I have a few questions:
1. The 150 gallon cube is 36x36x27. Could I keep a group of Carberryi anthias work, as long as the aquascaping allows for them to take advantage of the longer diagonal length (over 4 feet)? If anthias just dont work due to the size constraints of the tank, what about a mixture of smaller flasher and fairy wrasses? The variable is dependent on number. If you get a large enough group where you have more than one male, the social behavior of more than one male herding his females may constrain this with your current tank length. It still may work, I am just less certain. Flasher and fairy wrasses would require a secure top with 1/4 inch mesh. However, tank length is far less important with them.
2. I love dwarf angels and have never been able to keep them because of my corals. If introduced all at the same time, how many dwarf angels could I keep in the 90 gallon tank. Species I am interested in: coral beauty, flame angel, eibli angel, cherub angel, golden angel. still not coral safe, but once the tank is mature (they need to graze), three for sure would work
Just trying to flesh out plans for tanks I actually have now. Thanks again for your help,
Scott
