Pod/stometalla infested cheato!

COMAS Rocks!
I'm fixin' to harvest a little cheato from the fuge, I'll a volley ball size chunk that i'll be cutting in half, If anybody needs some and willing to come pick it up let me know. Lots and Lots of pods in this stuff too, not to mention baby stometella snails all up in it. Mystery Bonus! I can probably get several sandwich bag fulls, so first come first serve.

If you have any more bags of it, I could use a small bag of it. My friend (OUBrook) has a seahorse tank and thought we could jump start pods in there with it. Thanks!

I may have an extra bag or two, I'm still waiting to see who all comes and picks some up. If they is enough I'll make sure to let ya know. As far as jump startin' a pod population, this stuff will sure do that. Are you trying to get a pod population in the display with the seahorses or in a refugium hooked up to the seahorse tank? Seahorses are kinda voracious eaters, well voracious if you're a pod that is.

In the display. I thought I could ball up some chaeto in in the behind the rockwork. Then they would be out of harms way.

I may be misunderstanding this but if you put the ball of cheato in behind the rockwork, would it get enough light? Or are you mainly concerned with just the pods?

Adam, i believe corwise is in need of some of that cheato and a crash coarse on setting it up.

Light will get to it, I'm just shoving it behind rocks so I can't see it, not that it will be covered by them. And I'm hoping it will grow, because probably in a month or so I plan on buying a sump. Thanks!

be careful with thjis approach. It may die back more than grow and release nutrients into your system.

lol, yeah chuck, they kinda like that stuff I've noticed. I used to keep more rocks in the refugium for the pods and snails but they all seem to want that big green ball for a home.

Some of you guys have picked some up already, is anyone who hasn't but did contact me still need it? I have 3 bunches still.

No problem, I've got the cheato in a "grow-out" tank right now, so the stuff in the fuge and keep going. No big rush, I just wanted to make sure who still needs it. I'll make sure to keep a nice piece for you. BTW paul, when you pick it up you'll love seeing the mushrooms I got from you, those little sand polyps have simple "blossomed" under the new t-5's, nice space filler.
