Pods not enough for mandarins?

Angel*Fish

cats and large squashes
Someone posted on another thread that he wanted to train his mandarin to eat fish food because he read that pods were not adequate nutrition. He speculated they might be satisfactory if gut loaded with phyto.

Do you think he was just confusing pods with live brine? Or has anyone else heard this?

it is very tough for there to be enough pods in most tanks to keep them alive for a long time unless they eat other foods also .

I like to take a piece of live rock from my sump and shake it near the intake or in the display. Hopefully it knocks some new critters into the main tank for my fish.
