Pooky's 300

Man, if it weren't for the friends, I woudn't do these swaps anymore. That was a tiring day and after giving half of the proceeds to the Mrs., I still don't have enough to get the Apex :D Looks like I'll have to sell some of the remaining frags the coventional way.
Funniest exchange at CFM:

Buyer: How much for that frag?
Kenny: Five dollars for these (points at 4-5 pieces) and ten for these (points at 4-5 others)
Buyer: Five dollars? Hum ah, OK (walks away)

Guess it was too expensive :lolspin:

Nice meeting your better half and seeing the kids again. I invited them down to swim when it gets hot...after all you guys are close to the sun up there.

People like that baffle me ... but they are everywhere!!!

Will Tom do a group buy for just two people. I will be ordering mine later today :)

I'll check with Tom on the pricing but he may not be the cheapest ;) There are other reasons to being part of these swaps :) LMK what exactly you are looking for and I'll see what I can do.

Ditto, did you get any new goodies for your tank?

Nothing much since I didn't want to rush putting too many things back in the tank in such a hurry. Got a great deal on the Orenji Monti from John at Yourreef, a frag of the Pearlberry from Leo, and a replacement frag of the Key Lime from Ian

I agree selling a swap is more work than it's worth sometimes. I glad that I have decided not to do any for awhile.

Show us the goods :D!

Sometimes it is. But at the end, it's all worth it b/c you get a different perspective on the whole thing. To be honest, Cali reefers are spoiled from all the excesses out here. If I was selling anywhere else, I probably won't be taking anything home once it's over. The best part is I love to "haggle" with all the known cheapskates. I have a good memory for faces, just not names. When I see one of them coming, I jack up the prices especially for them to show my love :lolspin:

Actually, Dan, you missed the funnier part:

Same buyer: How much for those frags? (Thinking I didn't recognize his mug)
pookstreet: $20 for these and $30 for those.
Buyer: I thought they were $5 and $10?
pookstreet: They were. But now that more people are asking about them, the prices have gone up due to demand.

Alright, it didn't really happen this time but I have done that before :hammer:

I am sure the kids would love to. They've been wanting to go swimming but I ain't going into a freezing pool at this time of the year.

I understand about that as I just got a call from John as he found a 5" blueline from "the backroom" I'm probably just going to order it today unless your source also has ZEOvit products as I'm thinking I will continue for a bit longer.

Yeah Sara, baffles me too. And these weren't tiny, browned out pieces either, they were definitely a great deal. I just chuckled in amazement since I'd just dropped $80 for a 1/2" stick at another vendor's table.

Nope, no Zeo here. So you gonna get the blueline from John?

Nope, it was slightly over 5". I'm still planning on getting the one from Richard as I've been bugging him for a few months to get me one. The only way I won't pick that one up at BAYMAC is if he finds a smaller one and then I might get both :p

Dan, you know I would NEVER sell brown corals! White sticks, OTOH, is my specialty :bounce2:

Get 2??? Won't that push you over the angel limit??? :eek2: :fun2:

That the kinda of talk I like to hear :D.

Oh yeah, I forgot you have that "shallow" tank of yours. Unfortunately for me, my "grow out" tank is not long enough to hold angels.

Its becoming more and more like a second display. I switched out my old euroreef 6-2 for my H&S a200-1260 yesterday and I have a bucket of sand that is soaking as we speak. Since I just ordered my new apex, it will soon have an AC jr to control the lighting since I added two vho's last month :p

I guess I really need to get rid of my zoas now :twitch:

So where are the pics of this "other" display???

:hammer: Sorry Sara, but the camera rarely makes it outside as I am pretty clumsy and I do not want to drop the camera. Besides, it not quite up to my standards; yet :twitch:
