Pooky's 300

Boy, there sure was a flurry of activity this morning. Everyone trying to get in their morning quota before work??? All you old folks that go to sleep early and wake up early. Sheesh!

Thanks Kenny ;) For everyone who didn't know, Kenny is my coral agent, please do not PM me any longer for corals or advice, please contact Kenny :D

Yes, I am holding all of Mark's frags...........for myself!

And the best advice I can give everyone..........don't kill your corals! :spin1:

If I knew they would not eat my meaty, tasty and expensive LPS, I'd consider it ... but my wallet can't take the risk. I lost enough nice stuff to that stupid female bellus is all :hammer::fish2:

Try a centropyge, they are less likely to nip on meaty corals. I have favias and even some acans in the tank these day

Totally agree on the Centropyge. And there are so many to choose from that are simply stunning. The C. colini is definitely a cool one and a challenge to keep. I would try a few if I didn't already have the C. multicolor.

Mark - My chair is usually parked in Kevin's office starting at his wrasses and bassletts! :inlove:

Sara, you sure like your wrASSes and bASSletts :lmao:

So is DD like the major attraction in Wisconsin or something? I can just picture myself pulling up a chair, grab some cheese, put one of those cheesehead things on, and sit in front of the tanks :wavehand:

Try convincing your spouse that you want to go to Rhinelander, WI for a vacation. I'm still working on that one :fun5:

The Northwood's is seriously a nice summer vacation area to visit. My husband grew up in a resort town called Minocqua that is 25 minutes away from Rhinelander. There's beautiful lakes and plenty to do. We are up there many weekends in the summer for waterskiing, wake boarding and wake surfing. We'd be happy to show you and the family around and take you out on the waterski boat. Don't try and sell Rhinelander, sell Minocqua with a drive down to Rhinelander ;)

YES & YES ;)

It's the Holy Grail for reefing for us midwesterners! They only open their doors to the reefing community 4 times a year now, so you need to book early! It's quite amazing to see the facility and then be able to purchase the goodies you see too!

That sounds nice. Unfortunately, all the Mrs. wants to do is leave the west coast beaches and head for the beaches in Florida. Although it's hard to beat a house that sits right on the beach and all you have to do is walk out the back door to the water.

So exactly how far are you from Rhinelander? It sounds like just a short drive or something.

Kenny - You can rent cabins on one of the many beautiful lakes!

From where we live in Illinois, it's about a 4.5 hour drive for us. We've been making the trek up past the Cheddar Curtain for years, so it's no big deal for us to do it multiple weekends in the summer and winter. We are both past Cheese-Heads ;) It's 4.5 hours for us to both Rhinelander and Minocqua.

What's the temperatur like up at the lakes during the summer? And is the lake water cold? I hate jumping into cold water, that's the reason we don't go into the beaches here that often. It's definitely a possible future destination once the kids are older.

Is that the Leo's pearlberry?

Yep. He can sure make them glow. Now it's a matter of if I can keep those colors in my tank.

Arrgghhh!!! I hate it when the skimmer overflows for no reason, at least none that I can think of. Between dropping my kids off at school this morning and coming home to some work on the computer, the skimmer has managed to dump almost 2 days of skimmate back into the sump, which now looks like a nice bubble bath :mad2:
