Pooky's 300

They were ones that I've have for a long time. I lost the male G. watanabei, which I've had for over 4 years. Took ozone off a while back but I did turn it back on recently.

Damn Kenny, I'm sorry to hear that. Do you think any of the new fish might have carried something in? Are the acros still coloring up for you?

I was just asking due to the horror stories of people losing fish once they turned their ozone on too fast.

It's possible. This only happened after the introduction of the 2 new angels. Everyone else seems to be doing fine for now. We'll see.

The Acros aren't so much coloring up as growing up. The stag and the green slimer have put on noticeable growth. However, couple of pieces that I have taken out of the temporary holding tank and returned to the 300 have not done anything yet.

Yeah, I know ozone done the wrong way can kill a lot of things. All of the fish death occurred when the ozone was taken off line and I never ran it that high anyways. The most was only ~80 mg.

Hey Kenny sorry to hear about your fishys :( Never a good thing for sure. Hope everything in your tank works out for the best and things turnaround. Are all your LPS doing ok? Oh and on a side note...did your Berghias do their job or did you ever see them after that day u put them in? I only have 2 of the 4 I got and they're doing great :)

Hey Kat! How ya been?

The tank is doing ok except for the dead fish. The LPS are doing fine for now and the Acros may be on the rebound. I never saw any of my Berghias after they went in but all of the aiptasia in the little tank is gone. Did yours ever lay any eggs? I would love to get a few from you if you find some babies.

Hi Kenny!!:wavehand:

I've been good! Just recovering from the all day eating/drinking fest from yesterday lol! Hope you & the family had a good Thanksgiving!

Well I hope things get better soon with your tank! Damn those "sticks" that keep causing you and Dan issues :worried:!! Sensitive things aren't they!! haha!! I'm sure things will get better for you!! Time to go all LPS since you already have a nice collection going haha!! ;)

As for the Berghias, I moved the 2 remaining into a 5g tank since they seemed to do their job in my tank already. I've been feeding them some aiptasia so they don't die and hopefully make babies. They seem to be very healthy and have grown since I got them from you. I actually saw them doing the nasty this morning haha so hopefully they lay their eggs:love2:!! I'll definitely let you know when and if there are babies! I really got attached to them lol....I know i know probably weird of me but whatever haha ;)!! They're pretty cool creatures and are awesome at what they do!

Have a great day Kenny!

Hey I had a Berghia sighting this morning  and he was way bigger. I hope he has more friends in there because he still has some work to do.

Thanks Kat! Thanksgiving was good. I think my kids ate more than I did :D

Stay in touch and LMK whenever you have some baby Berghias available.

Kenny good to hear things are turning for the better with the acros. Sorry to hear about your fish loss.

Thanks Fonda. I am definitely more optimistic than I've been for a long time. The fish thing happens to the best of us, just like the sticks. There'll be bigger and better fish to come later on :)

Glad to hear, Dan. Hope it's not a loner. Having one is probably a good sign that you'll have others as well. I think mine are probably all dead. It's been a while since I've seen any aiptasia. Wished I could have caught some of them and put them in my sump or the tank overflows, which are full of aiptasia at this point.

Kenny, how's the tank doing? Hope the turn around is still progressing. How's the Bandito doing?

Dan, things are all right at the moment. The Acros situation is holding steady. Nothing new died and the few pieces I put back are still alive. Colors are still way off.

The fish are still mostly doing ok. I didn't see the P. flavoguttatus last night so I am assuming the worst. The Xmas emp and the C. meredithi are both doing well but the colors are not really vibrant, kinda blotchy all over. Can't see any outward signs of disease but that doesn't mean anything. Both are eating really well though. El Bandito is still somewhat shy. Wondering if it's spooked by some of the other angels since it's the smallest one in the tank.

kenny- we have never met and i know this is my 3rd post on this site, but i FULLY understand everything you are going through. 3 yrs ago i had a 350 gallon sps/lps tank... running smoothly for 3 yrs.... in a weeks time every sps rtn'd and lps rotted away and over 50 fish gone... to this day i blame my sandbed i had running.... and i left the hobby and never thought about returning until honestly 3 days ago when i decided to just check everything out on this site again.... came across your thread here and im glad everything is slowly turning around for you...
