I can't remember exactly without going through my records but I would say maybe a year and a half or longer. Had it since it was a baby. Still not that big yet, only around 3.5-4" at most.

Oh question for you. When you modded your Tunzes did you clip the grates on the back sides also? I just finished the front sides.

Dan, I clipped both front and back.

Brett, it's just simply clipping the grates on the Stream 2's to allow a bit more flow. To me, it also allows a longer period between cleaning b/c the grates don't get clogged up as fast. I am not worried about fish getting sucked in so it works out.

Thanks Kenny. I chickened out clipping the back sides. Figured that if I messed up on the front sides I could replace'em but the back sides... Next time I clean'em I'll clip the backs.

Brett, Kenny had clipped every other grate and I followed suit. I used a mini pair of wire cutters and a small round file. The grates look great!
