Predrilled AGA BulkHead Question

I'm picking up a predrilled 75g AGA megaflow tomorrow and have a question about plumbing it.
Someone told me that the bulkheads which come standard on AGAs are nipple heads designed for flexible plumbing. Is that true? And if I want to hard pipe to my 30g refugium/sump below, will I need to change out the bulkheads on the tank? I know it's not hard or expensive to do so, I just don't want to if it's not needed.

if the bulkheads are threaded just buy a pvc male pipe adaptor, this fitting will be threaded on one end and slip fit for pvc pipe on other end

The newer Megaflow kits I have gotten have the nippled bulkheads in them. You can use the hard piping (PVC) on the in tank parts like the overflow and return pipes but not the ones on the outside of the tank. If you want hard piping like PVC on both sides just get new bulkheads with slip fittings on them and the PVC will slide right in on the outside tank part as well as inside tank part.
I replaced both of mine on my 90 so I could use PVC and not flexible tubing slipped over the nippled part.
I bought new bulkheads at the same LFS for about 5-6 bucks a piece and used all the other parts from the AG megaflow kit

Ok, I just wanted to confirm what the other person told me (LFS person, so sometimes you wonder :) ) since he hadn't seen the tank yet. Thanks.

Yeah, that's true. The durso kit that comes with the AGA tank has only nipple heads. I just got my 75G 3 months ago.
