problem after updating firmware

Hi,

I have a Profilux 2 plus for sometime & decided to upgrade to EX with the upgrade kit.

After installation & rebooting my profilux comtroller, it still does not recognised the card.

My firmware is 4.00 which is suppose to auto detect.

Hoping an upgrade to 4.03 will help, I downloaded & flash my computer.

My nightmare starts after the upgrade, my probes sensors, pH, level, etc go missing.

Can you check your the 50pin flat ribbon, make sure that it's well connected (well seated) if it's the case, then unplug it and check if all of the pin are correct.

just do what is mentioned in the manual:

Start ProfiLuxControl
Connect
go to menu Extras->Hardware-upgrade
follow the instructions

Hi,

thanks for the advise & this is what I did.

1) Open up my profilux & remove my EX upgrade card.

2) Reboot my profilux 2 & my pH & temp probes option still missing.

3)Unplug & install my EX card & ensure all pins seat in securely.

4)On the profilux & result same as 2.

5)Hook up to my laptop where I run 4.03 (I uninstall & reinstall before connecting to Profilux)

6)Extra upgrade not avaliable for selection.

7)Flash my profilux 2 with 4.03 firmware again & reboot.

8)Connect to PC again with no upgrade option avaliable for selection.

All my probe sensors, pH, temp, level (from pro2 plus missing) and EX card not detected.

What could have happened as it seems to me my contoller got downgraded to a profilux 2 instead of upgrading to a Plus 2 EX.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

im having somewhat of the same problem i upgraded to ex also added wlan and neither are being noticed by the controller. I have 4.0 tried to upgrade to 4.04 and im getting error while transforming firmware

if you are getting errors you are not following the correct sequence for download, that is the only way you will get errors.

With the EX upgrade please follow the instrunctions that came with it to the letter.

Well now i can not connect to my profulix since the error

If you do it in the wrong sequence i.e press OK on the pc to start downlaod BEFORE selecting OK on the ProfiLux

or

When download is complete not allowing profilux to reboot before pressing Ok on the pc you will corrupt the software, this is written here and also in the back of the manual under the section firmware upgrade.

Best you take it back to Mike to help you out, there is nothing else you can do at this point.

Other pointers - Although held as a sticky post here I will go back over

When upgrading from V3.XX to V4.XX you must load the firmware first using version 3.08 software.

Then and only then once you have installed the 4.XX firmware you can upgrade to version 4.XX software.

You will get an error if you try and install any other way.

There is a sticky post at the top of the board all about this
