Profilux 3EX-My Review and Set Up Guide

Kits are available at discount globally this is not a North American pricing structure, GHL provide the kits pre boxed.

However if a client wants a dedicated kit to meet their requirements we will do our best personally to fulfill their needs as above.

What do you all control with ur profilux now? Are u doing ato or awc?
Temperture: Heater and Fan
Lights: I used to run pretty fancy LEDs(Pacific sun Black Python XM) with dimmable sunrise/sunset, high noon, lightning, moonlight, etc. But now just ON/OFF at certain times with my MH and T5s. LEDs didn't work out for my tank. Light is temperature dependent and will turn off when temperature is too high
Circulation: Beside my return pump with the option of turning if off when the level sensor on the main tank is trigger(overflow detection), I control my Tunze 6055.
Skimmer: Turns on after 2minutes when there's a black off or lost of power. This avoid the skimmer to overflow because the water line is high. When you lose power, water from the main tank flow down via the drain and now your water line in the sump is really high. If the skimmer turns on at the moment you get power back, it will overflow. The 2minutes delay will give time for the water line to settle.
Dosing: I have 4 pump profilux doser to dose CA, ALK, MAG
ATO: The remaining dosing pump is used for ATO with two level sensors. One sensor is to turn the ATO pump when water is not detected and turn off pump after the water hits the sensor. The other sensor is a safety. If water hits the second sensor, alarm will go off and email sent, and ATO pump shuts off.
Alarm and Email: Every time the alarm is triggered, an email will be sent. Temperature too high. PH too low or high, Conductivity too low or high, etc.
Those are the things I have off the top of my head at the moment. I'm sure there's more that I set up. The goal is to have a fail-safe system.

Can you point me in the right direction to look at just what the range of pre-boxed "kits" represent ??

Despite internet searching until my eyes dropped out, all I can find in Aus are listings for each individual item within the Profilux range...nobody mentions/advertises kits of complete packages anywhere that I can find in Aus.

Your best bet in this case is to email GHL directly via their website and ask, I dont have an answer and neither is it my position to speculate, but what i can say is that pricing and availability down under will be higher due to shipping costs, and I would not be surprised at all if the products come by Sea being the only affordable method, and this can take 6-8 weeks at least, so I can imagine product draughts sometimes.

But if you do have concerns, just contact GHL, your concern posted here would go unseen.

Yes I want to have a fail safe system as well! If there is such a thing that exists....lol. I currently run a tunze water level alarm and I really like it too but obviously it does not have the best option of all which is to send email or text too. I am currently emailing back and forth with Michael from aqua digital.....I am wanting the SMS module as well but it is 8 weeks back ordered....oh well I will wait....I am really excited about going with a profilux.....I had been convinced to go with apex and almost ordered numerous times but now with further research I have decided profilux is worth the extra money because they seem much more reliable and I was not a big fan of the programming requirements for the apex....like we have both stated, we are going for a fail safe system and profilux seems like it is what I want. What do you use to hold your ghl probes? I was going to get a ghl measurement cell.....only thing is that Michael informed me the inlet and outlet are metric 20mm.....guess I will need an adapter.

I have a Two Little Fishies probes holder for my probes. Pricey but well worth it.
