PTSD treatment tank

It made it today so I am one happy camper. Now this weekend I will try and figure it out on using it. Does anyone know some good links or video on setting a APEX up?

Go and d/l the official guide. It is a PDF and read over it.

It is actually pretty simple.

Well I am home sick and couldn't go into work. So sitting here watching TV and not wanting to do a thing I thought to myself I will test the PO4. Well to my surprise it is staying low. On my Hanna it said .03. I can live with that for right now. It has been about 3 weeks since I have done a drip so I think it might be to the point where its going to stay. Well I have my fingers crossed and hope it stays where it is. If not I will be filling up the IV bag again but I am feeling like I have sucked out most of it for now. Maybe if I get feeling better this evening I will try and get my carbon and GFO reactors hooked up.

Army Medic Vet here.

Just wanted to say check out the Apex forums as well. RussM and aquamanic over there are also and usually within minutes you have a reply from them. They are not even Neptune employees. Great product. I have one on my 90 that I am transferring to my 165.

I would look at the Comprehensive guide as well. You can find it on the Neptune website (http://www.neptunesystems.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Comprehensive-Reference-Manual-.pdf). It's like an expanded owner's manual and has advice on nearly everything the Apex can and can't do as well as specific advice on various ISPs and their pitfalls. The advanced networking guide (http://www.neptunesystems.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Advanced-Networking-Guide.pdf) is phenomenal in regards to getting your Apex talking on a network. Pay special attention to the section about Reeftronics (the same site Worm pointed you to for his controller) as they have a great diagnostic tool to use when trying to punch through your firewall and out to your computer, iPhone, iPad, etc. Hope this helps! I've been running my Apex for just under a year now and flat out love it.

One thing I can recommend, also... Just as a general house keeping item...

Plug all your energy bars in to power FIRST... then plug your brain in to one of them... give it about 45 seconds or more to go green then plug in each of the next energy bar. (might take longer)

After each one is green THEN..... plug in your pm2 wxm display unit or other items... (wait until each item is green before going to the next one.)

What this does is each new unit you plug in it assigns a unique identifier. To keep things in a line it helps to have them in order.

I did not do this so mine are out of numerical order. There are certain professions that understand doing things in a certain order. LOL

If you look at my EB8 you will see they go 3 4 and 5 then jump to 9...

If you were to ever look under/in my sump the surge strips (energy bars) go 5 3 then 4 from left to right... and # 9 is in my QT area right now. A friend of mine is in an even stranger order. This is done mostly because we have added energy bars over time after we added a Lunar Module... or other items.

Like I said.. Just a recommendation.

Thanks for the tip. I will be setting it up this weekend. Right now I am trying to plan out a way to mount everything to make it nice and neat.

Well I was doing some cleaning in my tank today and look who I found!!! He is smaller than a dime but I am thinking I will just toss him in the sump to live out his life. What do you think?

Well I didn't get my APEX up and going this weekend. But like I said this tank is in no rush at all to get everything done.

Why move it to the 165. You can use the same unit to control multiple tanks. With the extra eb4-8 and modules of course. I currently use mine to run 2 fish tanks and 2 snake terrariums.

I have my dsa 190 sitting in my office right now, waiting to build the stand. How do you like the size so far? Everything working out?
