Purple carpet!

I have recently (one week ago) replaced my Nikon coolpix 995 with a new Nikon D80. It is a Christmas present to myself I am slowly learning all the functions of it.... I will be busy learning for a long time to come

It was a tough decision for me deciding between the Nikon d80 and the Canon XTi digital rebel....

Hehe.. thank you. You have my permission... just give me credit when people comment on it I don't know if the quality of the photos posted here would suffice for an 8x10. If not, I have the original (more pixels) if you'd like.

I don't know how to do it but you could send that picture to like a RC Staff member here and request that picture to be in the monthly issue or something. That would be pretty sweet.

I use a Nikon D80 with the stock lense 18-55 mm nikkor.
Tips? hummm...
Practice, practice, practice
Plan on getting only a few good photos for every 100 you take
Use the delete button often
Don't get discouraged
Play with different settings
Avoid using the flash
Use a tripod
