Pylons Tank!

You have no local reef keeping clubs available to you? That's where you make the real contacts for stuff like that.

Never mind. I just googled your location. Gawd, I really don't think that you could b more in the "middle of nowhere". Maybe parts of Africa, or Antarctica might be more remote.

Lol I wouldn't lie to you man, my lfs is about 40 min Away (no traffic). No local reef clubs.. I'd have better luck in Tennessee or WV.

Funny thing is I grew up in west palm beach, fla where there are lfs's and groups galore, I didn't really get into this until I moved to BFE.

So I ordered stuff to dose iodine and a testing kit, as well as a scraper, there's stuff on the glass that's a pain to get off, hopefully this scraper will get it..
I had thought my nem had found a home on the rock in the middle of my tank
while hes stayed on the rock hes moving all around it and another dark spot has shown up on him.. he started showing his stomach again..

The dark place is probably crap. You said you fed him, right? Well, given that they're fairly translucent you can see the food moving around inside to a degree. He's probably about to take a dump (why his insides are flexing). With anemones their mouth is also their ***, so what goes in comes out of the same hole. Disgusting, I know.

Anyone ever heard of a Azoo Ch-100 Chiller?
I may have a chance to buy one pretty cheaply, owned says it is in fine working conditions, I would just need to buy hoses.
Previous owner said he sued it on a 30 gallon tank (I didn't tell him what size tank I have) and it works fine..

I am cautions because it is going for so cheap and because I havn't found much on google.
What I have found shows its for a ten gallon tank

I don't know specifically about the chiller, but I can tell you that Azoo products across the board are pretty much crap.

Update:
I'm about to order 4 corals, so i'm kinda excited about that, hopefully i'll get them Thursday or Friday if things go well.

There is a hole directly under the YWG's fin, I think that is my Pistol Shrimps new home.

He's on the move again, but he's been here for a while.. hopefully he'll hang tight, but he's not on a rock, just substrate.

Looks like you're about to be a parent.

That is exactly what I thought when i got home and saw that fig 8 nem, i've been watching hime closely and he's been reotating between the normal look "o" and the "8" look.

Nems normally split when they are stressed big time though, right?

Well, think about all that he's been through in the past week or two. Just keep things stable and they'll do fine.

So, I really want to get a good sand sifter, since my Randal Pistol Shrimp and extremely small I know he won't get the job done until he is a lot bigger. I haven't even seen him in a couple days, he's very shy.. so my question is, do I bug another and bigger pistol shrimp or should I get something else? On a whim I bought a super Tonga snail and he only sirts up the sand when food lands close to him.. Should I get more of them or something else?

I just don't know..

hey pylon, ive been looking at how ur nem is doing and im curiouse about its health. how is it? usually wen nems start splitting is because they are stressed right.

He's on the move still, I think he is settling down on the rocks in the back of my tank. He still switches between the figure 8 (looks like trying to split) and the regular body positioning.
Uploading pictures of him now, i'll get them up in just a moment.

Nassarius snails are great at sand sifting. Tigertail Sea Cucumbers are also a great pick!! (I am currently waiting on 2 tigertails) :bounce3:

The first picture is from last night where he was fully deflated and looking very pathetic lol.. but everything in my tank deflates when I turn the lights off, I'm thinking it's normal behavior.

Awesome, I just looked into the Tigertail Sea Cucumbers, I think they are for bigger tanks though?
