I have one 3 to 4 inches yellow tang in my 430 gallon. My wife loves him and wants me to get another one.So my question is can I more to my tank with having one already? If so what size should it be and how many can I add?

What sort of other fish do you have? If no other tangs I couldn't imagine two yellow tangs in a 430 gallon tank being a problem. Have had 3 in a 120 without incident (Yellow, Purple, Desjardini).

Man you shouldnt have any problem in 430, most of the time a problem starts over territory. I would find one about the same size or samller

I introduced two yellows together. They got on well until the day when one killed the other.

I wonder what made him snap?

YTs, and others of the same genus, usually do well in groups of 3+---but hardly ever when there are just two. Its common to see a bunch of them together at LFS, but never just two. YTs (and most fish) will show their true aggression as they mature. Makes you wonder about the future of all those cute little Huma triggers at every LFS; sooner or later they become real, live triggers.

yeah no problem if you think there might be a problem over territory just move some of the rock work around that kinda resets the turf some fish claim like my clown fish ..

I agree with what has been stated, if you're going to add, add at least 2 more. Try to find a couple about the same size as what you have now. Don't add just one, you are asking for a gang war eventually.

.......and expect some "pecking order" stuff, but probably not a major war.
